The off-road vehicle sped across the Gobi Desert, its wheels kicking up clouds of dust as it headed towards the camp.

Su Yang arrived at the training camp in the northwestern Gobi Desert the day before.

“Okay, I’ll be right there.” Su Yang responded, picked up the military cap on the table and put it on, then followed Lieutenant Colonel Li Guoqiang out of the room.

The two men walked through the camp and entered an office building.

Lieutenant Colonel Li Guoqiang brought Su Yang to the door of an office and knocked gently.

“Come in.” A deep voice came from the office.

Lieutenant Colonel Li Guoqiang pushed open the door and walked in with Su Yang.

There were several generals inside. The leading general had three stars on his shoulders. He had white hair and looked to be in his early seventies, but he was in good spirits and his eyes revealed an aura of majesty without even being angry.

“Commander, Comrade Su Yang is here.” Lieutenant Colonel Li Guoqiang stood at attention and saluted in a loud voice.

“Comrade Xiao Su, welcome to the exercise camp.” Three-star General Zhang Ruiduan smiled and nodded.

“Hello, Chief!” Su Yang quickly stood at attention and saluted.

Don’t be so reserved.” Admiral Zhang Ruiduan waved his hand and said in a gentle tone, “I have heard your name many times. Panshi Technology has really made great contributions to our country!”

“Thank you for the compliment, Chief. I just did what I should do.” Su Yang said modestly.

Admiral Zhang Ruiduan smiled and gestured for him to sit down.

Su Yang sat down as he was told.

“This exercise is related to the future of our army and the security of the country. The burden on your shoulders is heavy, but I believe you can carry it.” Admiral Zhang Ruiduan said.

“Please rest assured, Chief. I will do my best and live up to your expectations.” Su Yang said solemnly.

“Okay, I feel relieved after hearing what you said!” Admiral Zhang Ruiduan nodded with satisfaction, looked at his watch, and said, “The exercise time is almost up, and we should go to the exercise hall.”

“Yes!” Su Yang and all the generals present stood up and saluted at the same time.

Su Yang followed Lieutenant Colonel Li Guoqiang and walked out of the office with the admiral and his entourage, heading towards the exercise hall.

Along the way, Su Yang felt both nervous and excited. The next few hours would be one of the most important moments in his life.

The exercise hall is spacious and bright, with a huge display screen in the center showing real-time maps and fighter aircraft information of the exercise.

A large number of command personnel have gathered in the hall, with solemn expressions, waiting for the exercise to begin.

Su Yang followed the three-star admiral to the center of the command seat, where the view was wide and he could clearly see every detail on the big screen.

“Comrades,” Admiral Zhang Ruiduan walked to the microphone, his loud voice echoing throughout the hall, “I now declare that the ‘Sky Eagle’ air combat exercise officially begins!”
