Taminchagan Farm.
As the temperature breaks through seven degrees Celsius.
The underground root balls of the Senzu soybeans were stimulated by the temperature signal and began to sprout rapidly. Their shoots broke through the sandy soil layer, and their lush leaves dyed the entire Taminchagan Farm green.
“They really sprouted again!” A professor from Northeast Agricultural University looked at the soybean field, which was already densely packed with bean sprouts, with an excited smile on his face.
Even though the temperature-controlled re-sprouting experiment in the laboratory successfully caused the root tubers of the Senzu soybean to germinate a second time, this was the first time that overwintering re-sprouting under natural planting conditions was observed.
Many soybean-related researchers are beginning to record various data.
Including Hailufeng’s own researchers, they are also conducting various research and recording data.
Before I knew it, a week had passed.
During this week, the situation at Taminchagan Farm naturally attracted various reports in the country.
Those farms that are transforming the desert have already received soybean seeds sent by Hailufeng Company. Except for the more than 10,000 tons of seeds kept by Hailufeng Company itself, the remaining 50,000 tons of seeds have been sold.
From these soybean seeds alone, Hailufeng Company earned 1 billion yuan.
You can make a lot of money just by selling seeds.
After all, an average of 5 kilograms of Senzu soybeans are needed per acre, and each kilogram of seeds costs 20 yuan. If the total planting area is 200 million acres, and the seeds are reseeded every 3 to 5 years, an average of about 50 million acres of soybean fields need to purchase Senzu soybean seeds each year, and 5 billion yuan in seed money can be earned each year.
Moreover, after the planting of Senzu soybeans, starting from the second year, a patent fee of 5 yuan per mu will be charged each year. The scale is about 150 million mu per year, and 750 million yuan can be collected in a year.
In addition to the soybeans at Taminchagan Farm beginning to sprout again, the soybeans at the neighboring Mulan Farm also began to sprout again.
The higher the temperature, the faster the soybean seedlings grow. Although there was no rain in Zherim City at the beginning of spring and the weather was as dry and windy as in previous years, the magic beans do not rely on precipitation at this time. Instead, they rely on the water and nutrients stored in the underground roots last year. In addition, they can rely on their leaves to condense dew at night. Even if there is no precipitation, the magic beans can still grow normally.
“Teacher, the weight is out.” A graduate student came over with a test report.
Professor Li, who was checking the experimental field, was squatting next to a soybean seedling: “How is it going?”
The graduate student smiled and replied, “Compared to a week ago, we detected data through instruments, and the moisture content of the root tubers of the Senzu soybeans in the experimental field has decreased by 2-3%. It is estimated that the moisture stored in the root tubers can support their growth until the harvest season in mid-June.”
“It seems that Senzu soybeans have indeed broken the pattern of traditional soybeans.” Professor Li was very happy.
On the one hand, he was happy that the country had obtained this grain weapon. On the other hand, he was finally able to publish a paper on the topic he had been researching from last year to now.
There are more than a dozen scientific research teams of all sizes at Taminchagan Farm, and all of them are here to study the Senzu soybeans.
Some are studying the various characteristics of Senzu soybeans in preparation for further promotion; some are studying how to use Senzu soybeans as the mother plant for secondary hybridization and improvement; and some are studying how to utilize soybeans.
Some of these research efforts are carried out by officially funded scientific research teams.
Some are Hailufeng Company’s own scientific research team.
A small number of them are research projects that universities collaborate on.

At this time, farm workers at Taminchagan Farm were driving small lawn mowers and using lasers to kill the creeping bean sprouts between soybean rows.
Sizzle…
Lasers burned past one after another.
Those bean sprouts that were beyond the range had their roots burned.
These bean sprouts are the seedlings that developed after a part of the root tuber was severed from the main root system. If these seedlings are allowed to grow, they will soon develop into new soybean plants.
If the plants are too dense, the gaps between the ridges will become narrower, which will not only rob the soil of phosphorus, potassium and other trace elements, but will also lead to poor ventilation and increase the risk of fungal and bacterial infections.
Therefore, it is necessary to remove weeds and thin out the seedlings.
In addition, spraying drones began to spray some pesticides and foliar fertilizers.
The whole farm became increasingly busy.
In order to prevent bees from approaching soybean fields sprayed with pesticides, some pheromone micro-spray towers that can make Chinese bees feel uncomfortable are placed on these soybean fields.
These pheromone potions were developed by Jiang Miao, who specifically targeted the genes of Chinese bees to develop pheromone repellent potions. The main ingredients of the potion are aromatic hydrocarbon compounds extracted from the natural plant mugwort and some other plants.
As long as the spray tower is turned on at the edge of an area where pesticides have been sprayed, the Chinese bees will sense the danger as soon as they smell the pheromone and will begin to actively avoid the area.
This technology has been very well used in apiaries across the south, preventing bees from collecting poisonous nectar. It reduces the risk of bees dying from poisoning and the risk of pesticides appearing in honey.
However, the soybean fields used as forage were not sprayed with pesticides at this time, and only foliar fertilizer was sprayed using a drone.
Because this batch of soybean forage is the first batch of forage in the spring in southern Mobei, it will only take about 45 days, around late April, to be harvested to alleviate the local shortage of food.
If we don’t consider the bean production situation, there is naturally no need to use pesticides.
Jiang Haibo, who was in Monan recently, inspected the work of the Monan branch and received instructions from Jiang Miao.
A few days ago, Jiang Haibo called and made an appointment with Lu Zhenwei, the executive director of Beijing Energy International.
Today, the other party has brought his team to the Taminchagan base.
“Mr. Lu, nice to meet you. I’m Jiang Haibo.”
“Hello, Mr. Jiang.”
Jiang Haibo did not drag his feet. He had a simple conversation with the other party on the phone before coming.
Therefore, he brought the other party directly to the interior of the Taminchagan base. The place in front of them was the power storage center that had just been renovated a few days ago.
Gongping Town, where Hailufeng Company’s headquarters is located, has been expanding its production lines and improving its processes these days. Its current daily production capacity is 1,300 cubic meters of sponge batteries.
A week ago, the headquarters sent over a large batch of sponge batteries.
The venue had been renovated in advance, and the batteries were installed immediately after they arrived.
Lu Zhenwei looked at the rows of large battery boxes in front of him and asked, “Are these the sponge batteries produced by your company?”
“Yes, there are 2,000 batteries in total, with a maximum storage capacity of 900,000 kWh and a maximum output power of 192,000 kW,” explained the technical director of the power storage center next to Jiang Haibo.
Lu Zhenwei is not actually very interested in how many batteries are used. What he really cares about is how much these batteries cost:
“Mr. Jiang, what is your offer?”
“Our company adopts a leasing model, with a rent of 10,000 yuan per cubic meter of battery cells, plus an additional 10,000 yuan deposit.”
“10,000 yuan?” Lu Zhenwei looked at the team’s cost accountants. Several cost accountants immediately understood and began to conduct cost accounting based on this cost and the data provided by Hailufeng Company just now.
About half an hour passed.
One of the cost accountants whispered something in Lu Zhenwei’s ear.
“Adding the infrastructure costs, the cumulative additional cost per kilowatt-hour is 0.0524 yuan?” Lu Zhenwei was very surprised by this data. He quickly discussed it with the management of several other teams.
“Vice President Liu, what do you think?”
Liu Guoxi raised his glasses and expressed his opinion: “Mr. Lu, if Hailufeng is willing to sign a long-term contract, I think we can consider cooperation.”
“That’s right. We have to sign a long-term contract. If Hailufeng suddenly raises the price in a few years, we will be in a very passive position.”
“How many years do you think it would be appropriate to sign?”
“The minimum contract period is 10 years. If it is a project in Zhelimu City, this wind farm has only been in operation for more than two years. It would be best if we could sign a 15-year contract. By then, this wind farm will be close to being scrapped.”
Obviously, for Beijing Energy International, the current high-quality and low-cost batteries are too attractive. Their only concern is the future price increase of Hailufeng Company.
You know, although their wind power group in Zhelimu City has an installed capacity of 2.43 million kWh, the power storage system it is equipped with is only 476,000 kWh.
This supporting power storage system is not only very expensive, but also has very limited power.
You should know that wind power is even more unstable than photovoltaic power.
For example, in the early spring in Jirim City, the wind is very strong and the daily power generation can reach 35 to 40 million kWh per day. How can a supporting system with a storage limit of only 476,000 kWh absorb so much electricity?
As a result, we can only choose to abandon part of the power to maintain stability.
In other words, even if the storage capacity of the battery system is fully utilized at 476,000 kWh, it can only regulate about 2 billion kWh of electricity each year.
According to the installed capacity of 2.43 million kilowatts of wind power group in Jirim League, the average annual power generation is 3,000 hours, which means 7.29 billion kWh of electricity is generated annually.
Even if part of the electricity from the wind turbine can be directly input into the grid after voltage regulation and rectification, at least 2 to 3 billion kWh of electricity is wasted every year.
Currently, the on-grid electricity price of Beijing Energy International’s project in Zhelimu is 0.36 yuan per kilowatt-hour, which means that potential income of 720 million to 1.08 billion yuan per year cannot be effectively obtained.
As for purchasing lithium iron phosphate, lead-acid batteries and the like to continue to increase the storage system’s absorption capacity, Beijing Energy International can no longer afford it.
The green alcohol and green hydrogen projects that many people have praised to the skies are also not suitable for wind power.
To be precise, it is not suitable for unstable wind power.
If the power supply system of methanol and hydrogen, which are to be produced on a large scale industrially, is unstable, it will not only lead to low production efficiency, but will also increase costs, increase safety risks and make regulation more difficult.
When Lu Zhenwei heard that using Hailufeng’s batteries would only increase the cost by 0.0524 yuan per kilowatt-hour, he was very excited.
After the internal discussion, Lu Zhenwei could not wait to find Jiang Haibo and said directly: “Mr. Jiang, we plan to use the Zhelimu wind power project as a pilot project and first build a 2,000 cubic meter battery storage control center.”
“It’s a pleasure to work with you. I believe your company will not regret today’s decision.”
