Chapter 12 Noah vs Gildarts (Please read!) (Ch 12)

Noah and Gildarts released their magic power at the same time. The surrounding stones slowly floated up, cracks began to appear on the ground, the earth, forests, and air all shook, the clouds in the sky moved rapidly, and the waves surged outward.

The magic powers of the two people were constantly colliding, and the wind formed by the collision spread out rapidly in circles like ripples on the water. Even the members of the guild in the distance were blown back a few steps by the strong wind.

“Not bad, Noah, your magic power is very good, better than most of the S-class wizards I have seen in other guilds. No wonder the president agreed to let you take the S-class exam.” Gildarts exclaimed.

“Of course, I practice magic every day and never stop.” Noah said while fighting against Gildarts with magic.

“Noah actually has such powerful magic, I’ve never seen that before!” Laxus looked dissatisfied when he saw it from the side.

“That means Noah doesn’t need to use so much force when fighting you normally.” Kana said from the side.

“Bastard!” Laxus’s face was a little distorted.

The magic clash between Noah and Gildarts ended in a tie, so they stopped at the same time in tacit agreement.

A huge magic circle appeared in front of Noah, and a huge golden beam of light shot out, rushing towards Gildarts. Gildarts’ right hand glowed white, and he stretched out his hand to block the beam of light.

“Smash!”

From the place where Gildarts touched to the front of Noah, the light column was divided into small grids, and then turned into magic power and dissipated into the air.

“It’s really amazing, let’s try this again!”

The magic circle in front of Noah was cancelled, and four equally huge magic circles appeared behind him, and beams of light shot towards Gildarts one after another.

“This is good, but it’s still not good enough.”

Gildarts pressed with his right hand in the order in which the light pillars arrived, and saw that all the light pillars were decomposed into small grids and dissipated in the air.

“If magic doesn’t work, let’s try close combat!”

Seeing that his magic was ineffective, Noah covered his entire body with magic power, especially concentrated it on his hands. He clenched his fists that glowed with golden light and rushed towards Gildarts. Gildarts stood there waiting for Noah to come over.

Noah rushed to Gildarts and punched him in the face with his right fist. Gildarts blocked Noah’s right fist with his right hand, and then Noah punched Gildarts’ chin with his left fist from bottom to top.

Gildarts swung his right hand outward to deflect Noah’s right fist, leaned his upper body back to avoid Noah’s left fist, straightened his upper body, and raised his right foot to kick Noah.

Noah put his hands back in front of him to block Gildarts’ kick, and used the force to step back.

Noah retreated, adjusted his posture, and attacked again.

However, he was repelled by Gildarts after several attacks. If he had not covered his whole body with magic power in advance and consumed magic power to offset the effect when hit by Gildarts’ magic, he would have lost long ago.

Noah estimated that the magic Gildarts was using now was decomposition, not crushing, so he wouldn’t be killed in one blow, but he didn’t want to try being decomposed into countless little Noahs.

“You’re pretty good at close combat.” Gildarts said to Noah.

“Of course. I exercise every day, and I have Laxus as my punching bag for fighting skills, so naturally they are not too bad.” Noah answered while adjusting his posture.

“Damn it, who is the sandbag!” Laxus heard the conversation here from a distance, yelling there, and wanted to rush over, but was stopped by Makarov.

“Oops, I heard you, but it doesn’t matter, let’s continue.” Noah heard Laxus’s shout and said to Gildarts without turning his head.

“You have a really good relationship.”

“not bad.”

After Noah answered, he took a deep breath and dozens of magic circles appeared behind him.

Since he couldn’t win in close combat, he decided to try long-range consumption. Noah, who was afraid of insufficient firepower, deployed dozens of magic circles at once, all aimed at Gildarts.

“That’s exaggerated. Aren’t you afraid of missing them with so many?” Gildarts asked Noah curiously.

“No, my magic has locking and tracking functions, so there’s no need to worry about missing the target.” Noah was afraid that the moves he worked so hard to perform would miss the target, so all his moves had locking and tracking functions.

Dozens of magic circles fired countless light cannons at Gildarts at the same time. Gildarts found it difficult to dodge such a large number of magic, so he infused his cloak with magic power and raised it to block in front of him. The light cannons then attacked, exploding continuously and stirring up countless smoke and dust.

After attacking for more than ten minutes, Noah finally stopped. When the smoke and dust cleared, he saw that Gildarts’s cloak was only a little more tattered, and he was not injured at all.

“Gildarts is really powerful. He hasn’t been injured after attacking for such a long time.” Noah felt that he was worthy of being Gildarts. The current Gildarts’ strength was probably at least slightly weaker than Makarov’s, and it was very likely that his strength was the same as or even stronger than Makarov’s.

“Noah, you are amazing too. You have so much magic power at such a young age. I can’t imagine how powerful you will be when you are older.”

“I just have a little more magic power and a little more resilience.

Gildarts, we have fought for so long, let’s decide the outcome with one move!”

“Well, it’s time to end the fight now.”

Noah clasped his hands together, and a huge magic circle with the Fairy Tail logo in the middle appeared in the sky. Then, small magic circles continued to appear below, all the way to the top of Gildarts’ head.

Gildarts’ whole body trembled, his waist slightly bent, and his feet inserted into the ground. The ground cracked into pieces with his feet as the center. It was obvious that Gildarts was under tremendous pressure.

“What kind of magic is this?” Gildarts obviously still had some strength left, and asked Noah.

“My magic applies various states to the enemy in advance, such as locking, tracking, gravity, deceleration, weakness, slowness, etc., to prevent the enemy from escaping, and then collects all the energy and transforms it into an absolute attack on the enemy in the sky.”

“Is this magic you created yourself?”

“I guess so. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s my strongest attack at the moment. Take it, Judgment of Light!”

A golden pillar of light that reached the sky and penetrated the earth fell from the sky towards Gildarts. Gildarts was shocked and used his magic power to break through all the additional states, but the pillar of light was almost reaching his head.

Gildarts’s right hand glowed bright white, and he punched it towards his head with all his strength:

“Destroy evil and reveal righteousness in one day!”

The fist and the beam of light met in the air. The two sides were in a stalemate for a few seconds, and then there was a loud bang and an explosion occurred. The huge sound waves and air spread out in circles around. The nearby trees were blown away, the sea water was blown out by the strong wind, and many guild members in the distance were also blown away.

The explosion site was filled with smoke and dust, completely obscuring the figures of the two warring parties, making the outcome unknown.
