West Blue, the sea near Reverse Mountain.

A News Bird flew away from a pirate ship.

“Huh~ Captain, the headline of the newspaper is actually you!” Laffitte was surprised.

Dio and Daz, who were training together, stopped their movements.

They picked up their towels, wiped their sweat, and walked towards Laffitte.

Robin also came slowly, holding a cup of coffee.

“What did it say?” Dio was curious; this was his first time appearing in a newspaper.

Laffitte spread out the newspaper: “The Villain Pirates plundered Brando Island, massacred nobles and guards, and committed heinous crimes!”

“Captain, there’s also a bounty poster.”

Dio frowned and took the bounty poster unhappily.

“Tsk~ Villain? I don’t like that name.”

[The Villain Pirates, Captain “Villain” Dio, Bounty: 90 million Berries, Dead or Alive]

[The Villain Pirates, “Devil Child” Nico Robin, Bounty: 79 million Berries, Dead or Alive]

[The Villain Pirates, Navigator “Demonic Sheriff” Laffitte, Bounty: 55 million Berries, Dead or Alive]

[The Villain Pirates, “Killer” Daz Bonez, Bounty: 50 million Berries, Dead or Alive]

Dio crumpled his wanted poster into a ball, his eyes narrowed, lost in thought.

“These guys even blamed the Brando incident on us!” Daz said angrily.

That was his hometown; how could he plunder it!

Moreover, the report didn’t mention the deplorable actions of the Hairy Rat at all; instead, it praised him for fighting pirates and dying heroically!

“Captain…” Daz looked at Dio.

Sensing Daz’s anger, Dio raised his hand to gesture for calm.

“I don’t like taking the blame for others either.”

“Besides, our name should be decided by us!”

Dio’s gaze fell on Laffitte: “Which is the nearest Marine base?”

Laffitte seemed to have guessed Dio’s thoughts and smiled evilly: “Branch 79.”

Hearing this familiar code, Dio and Daz were both stunned.

What a coincidence?

“Perfect, the debt the Hairy Rat owes will be repaid by Branch 79!”

Dio made his decision, Laffitte marked the location, Daz turned the ship, target: Branch 79.

Seeing the three act in such perfect synchronicity, Robin shook her head helplessly, letting them do as they pleased.

Since boarding this ship, she finally didn’t have to sleep on edge.

Some time later.

Branch 79.

“David, how much did those villages collect recently?” A few Marines chatted idly at the outpost.

“Hehe, anyway, it’s more profitable than when I was a gangster,” David chuckled foolishly.

“Oh, you’re good, kid, when are you treating us?” The others put their arms around David’s neck.

David patted his chest: “After my shift today, I’ll treat my brothers to the red-light district!”

“Oh! Well done!”

Everyone cheered.

A Marine standing on the edge smiled, his peripheral vision suddenly noticing something unusual on the sea.

“Huh? What’s that?”

Hearing his voice, David and the others leaned out to look.

“That’s…”

David put his head on the outpost’s telescope.

First glance, a two-masted sailboat, with a golden-haired man of extraordinary bearing standing on the bow.

Second glance, a black flag with a golden skull!

Behind the skull was a bleeding hourglass, with blood dripping down to form the three golden letters “DIO”.

“It’s pirates! It’s pirates! Sound the alarm!” David exclaimed, feeling a bit uneasy.

“Tsk~ Pirates, huh? This is a Marine base!” The others didn’t care.

David gritted his teeth, pushed everyone aside, and pulled the alarm.

When he saw that flag, his hair stood on end; he just felt like he was doomed.

He hoped it was just his imagination.

In the distance, Laffitte put down his monocular telescope.

“Captain, it seems they’ve spotted us.”

Dio didn’t care; he didn’t even put the Marine branch in his eyes.

“Laffitte, I didn’t expect you to have a talent for painting?” Dio turned to look at the pirate flag.

“After all, I’m a navigator, so I have a basic understanding of drawing sea charts.” Laffitte relaxed when he saw Dio’s demeanor.

Robin whispered from behind: “I think I draw pretty well too.”

Dio and the other two instantly fell silent. Is that “pretty well”?

No wonder Robin’s aesthetics are so strange, Dio muttered to himself.

“By the way, Captain, what name should we use from now on?” Daz scratched his head.

Hearing his words, Laffitte and Robin also looked at Dio, their eyes filled with expectation.

Sensing their gazes, Dio faced the sea breeze, his golden hair fluttering.

“World!”

“World Pirates!”

“Our goal is to stand at the peak of this world!”

In the eyes of the three, Dio at this moment seemed to emit an incredibly dazzling light, intense and captivating.

“Boom~” The Marine base’s gates opened, and one warship after another sailed out.

“Pirates, this is Marine Branch 79! Are you here to die?” A Marine mocked through a loudspeaker.

Dio’s mouth curved upward. Laugh now; he hoped he could still laugh later.

His right arm covered in Armament Haki, he leaped with all his might, soaring above the warship.

Pitch-black Conqueror’s Haki suddenly erupted, dyeing the surrounding sky black, causing the Marines below to feel a heavy dread.

“Breathtaking!”

Dio crashed down towards the main ship, creating a deafening roar.

“Ah!!!” Countless Marines were sent flying by the recoil.

The main ship’s draft reached its limit and began to capsize…

With just one move, the Marines of Branch 79 were so shocked they couldn’t speak.

“You’re kidding!”

“Is that even human?”

“Retreat! Retreat!” High-ranking Marines exclaimed in unison.

But it was too late; Dio was like a wolf among sheep, tearing everything apart.

He didn’t let Daz and Laffitte attack because he wanted to use this Marine base to train his Haki.

A quarter of an hour later.

The entire Marine fleet that had set out was annihilated!

Dio’s pirate ship slowly sailed into Branch 79.

The remaining Marines held their weapons, trembling and looking at Dio and his crew in terror.

Ignoring these terrified individuals, Dio signaled Daz and the others to act.

The three smiled faintly.

Daz stepped forward, cut down the World Government and Marine flagpoles, and then hoisted the World Pirates’ flag.

Robin took out her pen and ink and began writing their pirate crew’s name on the Marine base’s walls, along with the Hairy Rat’s crimes and the Brando Island incident.

Laffitte went to the base’s intelligence room and treasure room to see if he could find anything good.

An hour later, the World Pirates set sail again.

And the news of Branch 79’s fall was reported to headquarters by the surviving Marines.

Along with it, a photo of that wall…

“Captain, there’s nothing good in the treasure room, just gold and silver jewelry, which is what we least lack,” Laffitte said, spreading his hands.

“I was hoping to find famous swords and Devil Fruits; I guess I was too optimistic,” Dio shook his head.

Laffitte pulled out a few documents from his: “However, I did find some interesting intelligence.”

Dio took them and read carefully.

“Red-Haired Shanks destroyed the Music Kingdom of Elegia.”

“Revolutionary Army suspected to appear in East Blue.”

“Gild Tesoro seized the Gold-Gold Fruit when the Donquixote Family held the [Gold-Gold Fruit Auction].”

The world was running wild.

Dio’s eyes flickered; these were all familiar yet unfamiliar characters.

We will meet sooner or later!
