DC has Monitors, Marvel has Watchers.

The two are not the same thing. At least, Monitors can interfere with the affairs of the universe, while the Watchers’ lifelong commitment is to never interfere with anything in the universe.

The current situation is that Connors, as a DC “Monitor,” has a warrant issued against him by Reed, who is a “Watcher” in this universe.

Leaving aside that Kara-Millie Reed of the “Fantastic Four,” who might not even be a proper “Reed.”

This time, Connors truly returned to Earth, back to the sewer where Gwen was fighting “Doctor Octopus.”

According to his prediction, Gwen should have defeated “Doctor Octopus,” and then Doctor Octopus would realize that he couldn’t fight Spider-Gwen alone and form the Sinister Six.

But when he returned to the sewer, he found that this was not the case.

Gwen’s hood was torn, her mask was mostly broken, there were traces of dried blood at the corners of her mouth, and she had multiple swellings and fractures on her body. She was lying in the sewage of the sewer.

Connors’ original plan was to kill “Doctor Octopus.” With his strength, dealing with such a character was not difficult at all.

But after hearing Gwen’s words full of self-doubt, he changed his mind.

He wanted to help “Spider-Gwen” regain her confidence, become the real “Spider-Man,” and rely on the “Spider-Gwen vs. Sinister Six” event to make “Watcher” Reed appear.

After all, after “Reality Warping,” his current identity is “Lizard Doctor,” and the real Lizard Doctor has become the “Monitor” who traveled from Earth-Zero.
