“A little uncomfortable,” Zatanna whispered.

“Bear with it,” Connors whispered back, close to Zatanna’s ear.

Their current hiding place was behind a statue in the museum, the only spot where their “Little Trick” ability to hide could be effectively utilized.

However, even so, the space was still cramped, and Connors was pressed tightly against Zatanna.

To maximize space, they weren’t facing each other; instead, Zatanna was leaning against Connors.

If Connors hadn’t recently unleashed energy with the singer Xuexi and possessed the ability of “Precise Control,” he would have undoubtedly paid homage to Zatanna’s perky backside.

Even so, Zatanna still felt a bit uncomfortable, wishing she could instantly learn spatial magic, tear a rift in the air, and slip inside.

“Shhh—”

“Wonder Woman” Diana leaped in through the skylight, and Connors motioned for Zatanna to be silent.

As seen in the surveillance footage, Diana still held a slightly glowing object, looking left and right, even passing by the statue where Connors was hiding.

She stopped in front of a ceramic pot with two large handles and chuckled softly:

“Menalippe? Not bad, I always said your creations had collection value.”

Who is Menalippe… Connors was puzzled until he heard the latter half of “Wonder Woman” Diana’s sentence and suddenly understood.

This was likely a member from Paradise Island, whose creation had found its way into the human world. It probably wasn’t what Diana was looking for.

Just as he thought, “Wonder Woman” Diana didn’t linger long in front of the ceramic pot. She continued her search and finally stopped not far from Connors.

More precisely, she stopped in front of another similar-looking ceramic pot, but with different patterns.

She extended a finger, flicked it, and shattered the ceramic pot. Connors clearly saw a small cylindrical object inside the broken pot.

“Wonder Woman” Diana’s target was precisely this cylinder. She picked it up, muttering to herself with some confusion:

“Why would Faust want this?”

“I don’t know,” Connors said.

“Wonder Woman” Diana was startled. She clutched the cylinder in one hand and drew the large sword from her back with the other. At the same time, a gust of wind swept by, and she unhesitatingly turned and swung her great sword.

“Who!”

Unlike her soft, melodic voice when muttering earlier, her sharp cry now was filled with the heroic spirit of an Amazon warrior.

With a horizontal sweep of her great sword, “Wonder Woman” Diana did not strike Connors.

In fact, Connors didn’t even make a move; it was the statue where he was hiding that attacked.

Although it was very strange, “Athena’s Sight” couldn’t detect any signs of life activity from this statue.

But precisely at the moment “Wonder Woman” Diana touched that cylinder, the statue twisted its neck and thrust the spear it was holding.

Fortunately, Connors had said “I don’t know,” which instantly put Diana on alert, allowing her to successfully block the thrusting spear and leap aside.

Since the statue he was hiding behind had moved, Connors had no intention of continuing to hide. Instead, he pulled out a handful of melon seeds from his pocket and enjoyed watching “Wonder Woman” battle the “Wonder Statue.”

There was no time to ponder why someone had suddenly appeared. “Wonder Woman” Diana unfastened the Lasso of Truth from her waist, swung it a few times, and threw it at the statue.

The lasso accurately ensnared the statue’s arm holding the spear. “Wonder Woman” Diana pulled hard, attempting to shatter the bronze statue.

But with her pull, the bronze statue merely swayed slightly, then bent its arm, remaining completely unmoving.

“Wonder Woman” Diana couldn’t budge the opponent. Connors even watched with great curiosity as the statue defiantly pulled Diana towards it, then clenched its other fist and smashed down.

Back at the “Ghost Face Bar,” I can finally answer those patrons’ questions: Wonder Woman does wear underwear…

Connors thought leisurely as he watched Diana, battered and sent flying by a punch.

“Aren’t you going to help her?” Zatanna also ran out from their hiding spot, curiously watching Connors leisurely cracking melon seeds.

“I’m not a warm-hearted neighbor,” Connors had no intention of intervening. He was just here to watch the show.

Besides, if “Wonder Woman” couldn’t even handle a statue, then she shouldn’t be called a “heroine.” She should just pack up and go home to raise pigs.

As for the mess in the museum caused by “Wonder Woman” Diana’s battle with the statue, that was even less of his concern.

Not only that, but to exploit the “participate, higher rewards” bug in the melon-eating system, Connors even picked up a ceramic bowl and threw it, neither too hard nor too soft.

Splat.

The ceramic bowl hit the statue without causing any pain or itch. The statue didn’t even glance at Connors. It dropped the spear in its hand, swung its fists, and fiercely charged at “Wonder Woman.”

This level of attack was nothing to Diana, but because she held the cylinder, she constantly worried about breaking it, which made her appear somewhat disheveled for a moment.

When she saw Connors mischievously throw a broken bowl, an idea sparked in her mind, and she decisively threw the cylinder in her hand:

“Catch!”

Connors didn’t look at her; instead, he turned to Zatanna and said,

“See, I estimate this level of combat is a piece of cake. If you keep following me to watch the show, you’ll have to be prepared like you were in Metropolis.”

Zatanna’s mind wasn’t on that; she wanted to catch what “Wonder Woman” Diana had thrown, but as an ordinary person, she didn’t have the ability and could only watch as it was about to hit the ground.

Only then did Connors flick it with his toe, sending the cylinder, which was only a few centimeters from the ground, flying up and landing steadily in his hand.

“Do you always like this kind of thrill?” Zatanna said helplessly, looking at Connors’ relaxed demeanor.

“This is thrilling?” Connors asked, puzzled, then turned sideways.

The statue, which had picked up its spear again and was lunging at Connors, missed its strike.

The statue’s target seemed to be not just “Wonder Woman” Diana, but the mysterious cylinder. Now that it was in Connors’ hand, the statue naturally began to attack Connors.

Compared to “Wonder Woman” Diana, who was hesitant with the cylinder in her hand, Connors was much more at ease.

“Spider-Sense,” “Little Trick,” “Precise Control,” “Human Limit,” “Athena’s Sight”—these five abilities combined made Connors almost want to completely ignore the statue’s existence.

Not only that, he even had the presence of mind to think about other things:

“By the way, Zatanna, you should also hit it with a broken bowl.”
