The usual infallible moves lost their effect on Connors.

But “Catwoman” Selina Kyle reacted quickly, her hands clawed as she raked them towards Connors’ back of the head.

If this claw landed, his skull could be ripped open, but she had no killing intent in her heart, only thinking of temporarily changing her move to knock him out.

Standing in front of a manhole cover on a Gotham street, Connors made up his mind several times but couldn’t bring himself to go into such a place.

Mainly because earlier in the day, while driving towards Gotham Forest, he had personally seen someone squatting by a drainpipe on the side of the road, defecating.

Catwoman was just a rookie thief in this world and knew nothing about Killer Croc or Poison Ivy. Connors didn’t get any useful information, so he simply let her go.

Now standing in front of the manhole cover, Connors gave himself one last pep talk.

Since Poison Ivy couldn’t be found, he could only try his luck in the sewers for now. He lifted the manhole cover.

“It’s so damn smelly…”

His previous pep talk instantly crumbled in the face of the sewer’s stench. Connors turned and left.

The smell gave him an idea. Since he needed to drive the “Laughing Man” incident forward, and with Killer Croc and Poison Ivy currently nowhere to be found, he had one more place to go.

Arkham Asylum!

After the previous Arkham escape, Batman used Wayne Enterprises’ industrial resources, under the name of Gotham’s first family, to immediately complete the prison section. Subsequent captured villains were still sent there.

Instead of running around looking for Killer Croc and Poison Ivy, he might as well go to Arkham and have a chat with the Joker face to face.

Then, another problem arose.

Where was Arkham Asylum?

This question, theoretically, could be answered by simply asking anyone on the streets of Gotham City.

But it was midnight now, and only occasional fleeting vehicles could be seen on the street; there were absolutely no pedestrians.

Between “Ghost Face Bar” and “Andrew Hotel,” Connors chose the latter without much hesitation.

Snow Xi naturally welcomed Connors’ arrival with open arms. Half an hour later, he, composed and at ease, drove out of the underground parking lot in another muscle car gifted by Snow Xi.

Arkham Asylum, as a place in Gotham City that combined a prison, hospital, and mental patient rehabilitation center, was naturally not located within the city, but in the deep suburbs on the outskirts of Gotham.

The Gothic bell tower could be seen from afar. The dim yellow light on the huge clock did not provide illumination, but instead made it look eerily gloomy.

There was a searchlight every few meters along the wall, and a guard post every fifty meters, with searchlights constantly illuminating every dark area.
