Zhang Sanfeng also attained enlightenment, but by the time he did, he was already sixty years old. From that point on, any martial art he created was considered a top-tier masterpiece, possessing various incredible and miraculous powers. It was also from that time that he gradually ascended to the undisputed position of the world’s greatest martial artist, revered as “True Man Zhang” by both the righteous and the unrighteous factions.

Currently, Ye Qingfeng, only in his thirties, had taken this crucial step. His talent and comprehension were so extraordinary that describing them as unprecedented would not be an overstatement, and his future achievements were absolutely limitless.

The poem reads:

To know the chaos without axe or chisel,

One must transcend rules to find the circle.

Not departing from daily life and actions,

Directly reaching the pre-heaven, unpainted state.

This poem was written by a great scholar of later generations, a figure whose brilliance resonated through time. This scholar was a grand master of the School of Mind, Wang Yangming, a Confucian sage comparable to Confucius and Mencius. Legend has it that Wang Yangming cultivated his qi and spirit in the army, and after several days of comprehending the mysteries of the human body, he attained enlightenment in one morning, letting out a long roar that shook the entire army. Ye Qingfeng’s current situation was identical to Wang Yangming’s at the moment of his enlightenment.

After attaining enlightenment, one must propagate the Dao.

Propagating the Dao, also known as expounding the Dao, involves explaining the Dao one has comprehended.

Regardless of whether the listeners can understand, propagating the Dao is essential. Only by expounding the Dao within one’s heart can one express their spirit and thus ascend to a higher level. In ancient times, after Laozi attained enlightenment, he traveled west out of Hangu Pass, leaving behind five thousand words that have been passed down for ten thousand generations. After Confucius attained enlightenment, he taught without discrimination, accepting seventy-two disciples, and was revered as the Most Sacred Grand Master. After Mencius attained enlightenment, he left behind an enduring spirit of righteousness. Even in later generations, after Wang Yangming attained enlightenment, he left behind the School of Mind. In short, propagating the Dao after enlightenment is a necessary path for every enlightened person.

In those days, after Ye Qingfeng’s master, Zhang Sanfeng, attained enlightenment, he also propagated the Dao for three days. The famous Daoist texts in the Wudang Sutra Pavilion, such as “Direct Explanation of Profound Secrets,” “Meditation Song,” “Chapter on Profound Essentials,” and “Rootless Tree,” are classics left behind by Zhang Sanfeng’s propagation of the Dao.

Since Ye Qingfeng had attained enlightenment, he naturally had to propagate the Dao as well.

At that moment, he began to recite in a clear voice.

“The Dao of Heaven diminishes the abundant and supplements the insufficient. The Dao of Man diminishes the insufficient and benefits the abundant.”

“Heaven and Earth endure. Heaven and Earth are able to endure because they do not exist for themselves, hence they can endure.”

“Pure is refined, Yang is firm. Heaven acts robustly, the two principles follow the Dao eternally. Hence, the enduring do not exist for themselves, which is the meaning of eternal life.”

“Chaos opened, dividing Yin and Yang. Revolving and alternating, all things began to flourish. Observing their subtlety, below the nine heavens, within the six directions and eight wildernesses.”

“The Great Dao is formless, yet it gives birth to Heaven and Earth. The Great Dao is without emotion, yet it operates the sun and moon. The Great Dao is nameless, yet it nurtures all things. I do not know its name, so I call it the Dao. The Dao has purity and turbidity, motion and stillness. Heaven is pure and Earth is turbid, Heaven is in motion and Earth is still. Man is pure and woman is turbid, man is in motion and woman is still. From the root it descends to the branches, giving birth to all things. Purity is the source of turbidity. Motion is the basis of stillness. If man can always be pure and still, Heaven and Earth will all return.”

“Grasping Yin and Yang, breathing in essence and qi, standing alone guarding the spirit, muscles as one, that is a true man.”

Just like his master, Zhang Sanfeng, Ye Qingfeng also propagated the Dao for three days, concluding only after the third day.

When he finished propagating the Dao, he also acquired an aura of transcendence, just like his master, Zhang Sanfeng. His entire being was ethereal and indistinct, like an exiled immortal, as if he could ascend and depart from this world at any moment.

At the same time, the sense of connection between heaven and man within him grew even stronger.

Ye Qingfeng, by comprehending the Supreme Yoga Tantra, stimulated his inner foundation and thus attained enlightenment in one morning. After attaining enlightenment, his mind reflected inward, and the Supreme Yoga Tantra was also cultivated to completion. Of course, this completion only meant reaching the first level. With his current spiritual cultivation, he was comparable to the red-robed Buddha, Gunabhadra. If the two were to face each other again, he could easily defeat the opponent.

Moving forward, to continue progressing, it would require painstaking effort, not something achievable overnight.

Since his cultivation was complete, he broke out of his seclusion and descended the mountain.

Upon descending the mountain, his first priority was to find his master, Zhang Sanfeng, and exchange insights.

As they were conversing, Mo Shenggu suddenly pushed the door open, his face anxious, and said, “Master, something bad has happened! Wuji is in trouble!”

Hearing these words, both of them abruptly stood up.

Zhang Sanfeng asked, “Wuji is back? What happened to him?”

Mo Shenggu replied, “He’s severely injured, covered in blood. He collapsed as soon as he reached the mountain gate. It was the disciple on duty who brought him up the mountain. We don’t know exactly what happened.”

Hearing this again, both of their expressions changed.

Ye Qingfeng said nothing more, taking the lead and rushing out the door, heading straight for Zixiao Palace.

Zhang Sanfeng and Mo Shenggu naturally did not delay, following closely behind.

In just a few breaths, Ye Qingfeng arrived at the main hall of Zixiao Palace. Looking intently, he saw Yu Lianzhou sitting cross-legged, his hands pressed against Zhang Wuji’s back, channeling his internal energy to heal him. Song Yuanqiao and others stood in a semicircle, their faces filled with worry.

“Second Brother, let me do it.”

Ye Qingfeng stepped forward, taking Yu Lianzhou’s place.

As his true qi flowed in, Ye Qingfeng immediately detected Zhang Wuji’s injuries. Inside Zhang Wuji’s body, not only were five types of potent poisons accumulated, but his internal organs had also been severely damaged by profound internal energy. In addition, he had three sword wounds on his body, one of which directly pierced his left lung, being the most fatal. If not for his Nine Yang Divine Skill protecting him, he would have long since died.

As the saying goes, when the yang first stirs, all things revive.

Ye Qingfeng’s true qi was a fusion of pure yang true qi and Nine Yang true qi, combining the strengths of both. As soon as it entered Zhang Wuji’s body, it was like a pervasive, gentle rain, continuously and abundantly, stimulating the Nine Yang true qi within him and rapidly restoring his vitality.

After about the time it takes to eat a meal, the toxins in Zhang Wuji’s body were expelled, and he slowly regained consciousness.

“Where is this…”

Looking at the familiar surroundings, Zhang Wuji was somewhat disoriented.

Ye Qingfeng spoke, “Don’t speak. Concentrate your mind, breathe the Nine Yang, embrace the primordial essence.”

Hearing this familiar voice, Zhang Wuji subconsciously dared not disobey and immediately complied.

After about another quarter of an hour, Zhang Wuji’s injuries were 50% healed.

Ye Qingfeng then withdrew his true qi and stood up. Next, he took out two porcelain bottles from his and threw them to Zhang Wuji, saying, “These are the healing medicines I prepared. The blue bottle is for internal use, the white bottle is for external application. You will fully recover in three days.”

Zhang Wuji took the porcelain bottles and bowed in gratitude, “Thank you, Eighth Uncle.” Seeing Zhang Sanfeng and the others nearby, he bowed again to everyone, “Your child Wuji greets Grandmaster, First Senior Uncle, Second Senior Uncle, Third Senior Uncle…”

Before he could finish bowing, Zhang Sanfeng helped him up and asked, “Wuji, how did you get injured? Where are your parents?”

Zhang Wuji’s expression gradually saddened, and he said, “Grandmaster, your child was useless. On the way back, we were ambushed by Chen Youliang. My parents and my adoptive father Xie Xun have fallen into his hands. Please, Grandmaster and all Senior Uncles, save them.”

Everyone was surprised to hear this.

Yu Lianzhou said, “Wuji, with your martial arts, how could you possibly be ambushed by someone like Chen Youliang?”

Ye Qingfeng interjected, “If my guess is correct, Wuji and the others must have been poisoned. This poison is called Five Poisons Lost Heart Powder.”
