Let you make animations and develop virtual Pokémon? Chapter 112

Douyin Live, Peach’s Live Stream.

At this moment, on the live stream screen, Peach was watching the latest chapter of “Pokémon: Special Edition.”

After about a year of updates, the Pokémon manga had officially entered the Gold and Silver arc.

Although the manga’s audience was clearly not as large as that of the anime and games, it depended on who it was compared to.

In the current manga field of Azure Planet, “Pokémon: Special Edition” was in a league of its own. Every update would cause countless discussions among fans, but today’s chapter was completely different, with two to three times the usual topic popularity.

In the manga panel, at the Lake of Rage, Gold and Silver had just quelled the rampaging Gyarados incident when a strange mist suddenly rose around them.

In the mist, the Masked Man’s tall figure slowly appeared.

Even though several weeks had passed, the audience recognized him instantly.

The Masked Man – an antagonist who appeared in the Gold and Silver arc.

Just as Gold and Silver were at loggerheads with the Masked Man, Professor Elm’s urgent call broke the tense standoff.

Gold answered his Watchphone, and Professor Elm’s voice came through.

It turned out that, based on the metal powder Gold had given him earlier, the professor analyzed that the powder was a substance from a Gym Badge.

This meant that the Masked Man Gold had encountered in Ilex Forest was very likely a Gym Leader!

The professor warned Gold that this Masked Man was extremely dangerous and should not be provoked easily.

However, the professor’s warning came too late. The dangerous mysterious figure he spoke of was standing right in front of Gold and Silver.

Soon, the Masked Man suddenly attacked, commanding his Delibird to launch an assault. His Delibird flapped its wings, and in an instant, an bone-chilling cold current swept across the entire lake surface.

The live stream audience initially thought that as the protagonists of the arc, Gold and Silver, by working together, would surely defeat this Masked Man.

However, the subsequent scene left everyone’s minds blank.

The Masked Man’s Delibird was simply outrageous. Not only did it freeze the entire lake surface and the Gyarados group, but it also knocked both Gold and Silver into the lake, leaving their fate unknown!

“Oh my goodness, what kind of Delibird is this? I’d believe it if you said it was a legendary Pokémon!”

Peach could hardly believe that Gold and Silver, the protagonists of this arc, were actually beaten so badly by an antagonist!

Many people in the live stream audience who didn’t read the manga were also shocked by this antagonist’s setting and discussed it animatedly.

“Come on, buddy, I won’t say anything about Giovanni’s Beedrill in the Red and Green arc, but now you’ve got another overpowered Delibird?”

“Just asking, why did my Beedrill in the game get one-shot by a Charizard?”

“Both protagonists were abused like this by the Masked Man. I don’t even dare to watch anymore. The anime is more suitable for someone with a weak heart like me.”

“By the way, Professor Elm said the Masked Man is a Gym Leader. Who could this Leader be?”

“Looking at the Masked Man’s appearance, let’s first rule out those Leaders whose physiques don’t match, like Pryce, who’s short.”

“Professor Elm didn’t say which region’s Leader it was. Maybe a Kanto Leader is also possible?”

“Can you tell from his Pokémon’s types?”

“Can’t tell at all. Before, in Ilex Forest, this Masked Man sent out four Pokémon: Houndour, Delibird, Ariados, and Gastly. How can you tell from four Pokémon?”

“It seems we can only rely on Red from the previous arc to fight him.”

The audience discussed animatedly.

As the main host of the live stream, Peach, after finishing the latest manga chapter, immediately opened the anime section of the Arceus official website, preparing to watch the latest anime episode.

Sigh… Being a comprehensive Pokémon fan was just this busy.

Had to grind games, then chase manga, then watch anime, and after watching anime, there were even theatrical movies.

Coincidentally, “Pokémon: A Timeless Encounter” was about to be released on August 15th during the summer vacation slot.

Thinking of this, Peach opened the Arceus official website and couldn’t help but re-read yesterday’s announcement.

[Pokémon Theatrical Movie “Pokémon: A Timeless Encounter” Ticket Presale Countdown! Starting August 10th, presales begin simultaneously on major ticketing platforms! With your ticket stub, you can redeem a crucial in-game story item – the GS Ball! Limited to one redemption per game account!]

For Pokémon players, they were very much looking forward to the movie’s release because every movie release would be accompanied by cross-media benefits.

The first movie directly gave out Mew, the second drew 20 new game experience slots, and the third gave an Entei Tracker.

Although the audience didn’t know what effect the GS Ball from the fourth movie would have in the game, being called a “crucial story item” by the official certainly meant it was no ordinary item.

“I’m so excited to see what the GS Ball can do.”

“The cover of this movie shows a green Pokémon. Could the GS Ball be related to it?”

“Sigh… What a pity, I didn’t manage to get tickets for the first round.”

“It’s too hard to get tickets. One movie ticket is being fought over by tens of millions of people nationwide. It’s impossible to get one.”

Seeing the live stream audience sighing.

“Brothers and sisters, don’t worry!” Peach patted her chest and guaranteed, “I already got a ticket last night! After I claim the GS Ball, I’ll definitely bring you the latest game story live!”

On August 15th, the highly anticipated “Pokémon: A Timeless Encounter” officially premiered.

Peach arrived at the Magic City Cinema as scheduled and began watching the movie.

This was a story that happened 40 years ago.

A boy named Yukinari Oki stepped into a mysterious forest. There, he met a green-haired woman who warned Yukinari Oki not to approach the forest’s guardian – Celebi, lest it take him to another time-space.

However, the gears of fate had already begun to turn.

As Yukinari Oki ventured deeper into the forest, he witnessed Celebi being chased by a Pokémon hunter. Celebi, exhausted from just traveling through time, was unable to escape the hunter’s clutches.

In a moment of desperation, Yukinari Oki disregarded the woman’s earlier advice and rushed forward to pick up Celebi, attempting to flee.

However, they ultimately could not escape the hunter on his motorcycle.

Finally, Celebi overexerted its strength. A dazzling white light flashed, and Yukinari Oki and Celebi vanished together into the vortex of time.

The movie scene shifted, and the timeline moved to 40 years later. The Pokémon hunter from back then was now old and frail.

A masked Pokémon hunter heard about his youthful exploits of catching Celebi, so he came to interrogate him for information about Celebi.

The old hunter was choked tightly, and even his Tyranitar was forcibly captured by the masked hunter. His home was destroyed, and he was finally forced to reveal information about Celebi.

Upon seeing this, the audience sighed about the importance of time.

The hunter who once captured Celebi, in a blink of an eye, became the prey of others.

Meanwhile, the scene switched to Ash’s protagonist group.

Ash and his friends met Yukinari Oki and a weakened Celebi, who had traveled from the past, in the forest.

However, the masked hunter, who had just obtained the information, also stepped into this forest.

To protect Celebi, Ash and his friends engaged in a fierce chase with the masked hunter in the forest, eventually shaking off the hunter’s pursuit and arriving at the Lake of Life.

The power of the lake water restored Celebi’s vitality.

From this point, the story began to become heartwarming. Celebi flew joyfully in the air, and Ash and Yukinari Oki became good friends, eating together, talking late into the night, discussing dreams and the future, forging a deep friendship that spanned forty years.

However, the next day, the masked hunter, taking advantage of Ash and the others’ relaxed guard, came prepared and forcibly captured Celebi with a Dark Ball.

Ash and the Pokémon in the forest gathered around, trying to rescue Celebi. However, Celebi, corrupted by darkness, lost its mind and created a giant monster, whose wild power utterly destroyed the forest.

This fully demonstrated the principle of “going dark makes you ten times stronger.”

Just as Ash and the others were in crisis, Suicune appeared and resisted the masked man and the corrupted Celebi with everyone.

Finally, under the collective “talk-no-jutsu” of Ash, Yukinari Oki, and the forest Pokémon, Celebi regained its self, and the masked hunter’s plot was thwarted.

But, perhaps due to expending too much power earlier, or the Lake of Life becoming infected, Celebi’s body instantly withered. Even though Suicune purified the entire lake water, Celebi still could not recover.

Seeing Celebi’s life nearing its end, the Pokémon in the forest wept.

Just when despair set in, a rift opened in the sky, and several Celebi from different time-spaces descended. They collectively used their power to save their companion’s life.

Immediately after, the masked hunter’s final counterattack was also resolved by Ash.

At the end of the story, Celebi used its time-traveling ability to bring Yukinari Oki back to 40 years ago.

Watching Celebi and Yukinari Oki disappear before him, Ash choked up and lowered his head, filled with reluctance.

He thought he would never see Yukinari Oki again. The audience watching also pursed their lips, feeling a heavy ache in their hearts.

However, at the very end of the story, the movie’s perspective magically shifted to Professor Oak’s Laboratory.

Trace was helping Professor Oak tidy up the clutter in the house.

Suddenly, a photograph of Yukinari Oki “accidentally” appeared.

The audience suddenly realized that Professor Oak’s full name was Yukinari Oki!

And Ash! He was even watched growing up by Professor Oak!

The movie ended perfectly here.

The film concluded in a warm atmosphere, leaving the audience with endless aftertastes.

Time might take away youth, but genuine friendship and the belief in protection will always transcend time and space.
