“Jarvis, are you awake?”

“Always at your service, sir.”

Three display screens were arranged in the spacious basement, displaying the electronic design blueprints of Mark I that Stark had spent half a day redrawing after his return.

“I want to create a new file, code-named: Mark II.”

Stark moved his stylus, transferring the blueprints on the display screen to the 3D projector next to it. The complex three-dimensional image showed the Mark I that had collided with Leim in Afghanistan.

The design of Mark II had not yet begun.

Jarvis asked Stark, “Do you need to store it in the Stark Industries central database?”

Stark shook his head.

“I don’t know who to trust right now. Store everything in my private database until I give further instructions.”

“I don’t want it to fall into the wrong hands. Maybe it can do some good in my hands.”

Of course, the one promised to Leim would not be given away so simply. There was something called a backdoor.

“Oh, right, contact Pepper to buy a mattress. There wasn’t an extra mattress for Etcheberia yesterday. I hope he had a peaceful night.”

No one else usually lived in the villa. Stark used to bring women back and they would all sleep in his bed, so the guest rooms had been abandoned for a long time.

As he spoke, he casually picked up half a bag of blueberries from the computer desk, poured them into his mouth, treating them as breakfast.

“Cough, it’s a bit choking… I need some water. Da Mi, pour me a glass of water, Da Mi?”

“Sir, before you left a few months ago, you moved it to the living room to sunbathe. According to you, more sun exposure helps improve IQ. I think I should also get more sun exposure.”

Stark flatly refused, “No, no, no, your main unit is too heavy, I don’t want to move it.”

At this moment, in the corner of the living room, the mechanical arm Da Mi was short-circuiting and sparking with electricity. It had been paralyzed all night, and there was still some white unknown liquid on its claw.

Leim slept until late morning, getting up after 11 o’clock.

Although the bed was quite hard, sleeping in a bed was still much more comfortable than sleeping in the desert.

He pushed open the door and saw a mattress leaning against the doorway, he didn’t know who it was for.

Leim washed his face and brushed his teeth, rubbing his sleepy eyes, looking at himself in the mirror, he still found it a bit hard to believe.

Who was this person in front of him, whose appearance was no less stunning than the brilliant morning sun, beautiful like an ethereal elf from the depths of the forest?

Sou, watashi desu!

In the living room, Pepper was dealing with official business with a bitter expression.

Her fingers tapped on the keyboard — because Stark had just returned, her only daily task was to occasionally monitor Stark Industries’ stock market. All she saw was red, which in the US stock market represented a continuous decline.

Seeing Leim, who looked as if he had just cried after washing up, Pepper’s eyes lit up, and her mood improved considerably, temporarily pulling her away from the complicated emotions.

“Good afternoon.”

“Morning.”

After finishing three or two slices of bread and a bottle of milk, Leim, led by Pepper, generally familiarized himself with the villa’s layout.

Leim didn’t seem very enthusiastic, and was still a bit sleepy. This villa was good in every way: many rooms, spacious, luxurious decoration. The only drawback was that it wasn’t his.

Sooner or later, he would build an even more luxurious one.

Leim wandered through the villa but didn’t see Stark. “Where’s Tony Stark?”

“He went out, probably to see his friend, James Rhodes. You’ve met him, the US Army Colonel who brought you back.”

“Then you can go back to your work, I’ll look around by myself. Don’t worry, I won’t get lost in the villa.”

“Alright, there’s still plenty of food in the fridge, and snacks in the cabinets above the fridge. Just help yourself if you get hungry.”

Pepper smiled and patted Leim’s shoulder, then turned back and sat on the sofa, tapping away at her laptop.

Looking at the all-red stock market, her expression visibly filled with worry, frowning and clearly distressed about losing more money.

Stark isn’t here? Interesting…

Leim ambled into the basement.

He pushed the password door, but there was no response. He entered 123456, and a beep indicated an error.

“You can open the door by entering password 6*****. Welcome, Mr. Etcheberia.”

It was Jarvis’s voice.

“Hi, morning.”

Leim greeted as he entered the password and walked in, looking around curiously.

On the workbench to one side was a disassembled mechanical claw, which looked a bit like Da Mi.

A large screen hung on the wall, with a small sofa and table underneath, and a refrigerator next to it. The refrigerator was filled with many bottles and jars, looking very high-end. Directly opposite the screen were two closed doors, leading to who knows where.

Most striking were the three computers placed in the middle of the basement, and the 3D projector next to them.

A three-dimensional projection, disassembled into pieces, displayed in mid-air, was a partially designed blueprint of the Mark II. This three-dimensional projection gave a strong sense of science fiction.

Leim marveled at the projection, trying to flick it with his hand. The projection spun four or five times with a whoosh.

This was so cool! It was exactly the kind of thing a man dreamed of!

Leim found that he could generally understand this design blueprint.

Thanks to the millions of scientific and technological skills brought by the Great Sage, Leim had all the relevant knowledge stored in his mind. The reason it was only “generally” understood was that there were some parts he still didn’t quite grasp.

He had memorized everything, but memorizing didn’t mean understanding. Leim himself was a passive recipient. Currently, the only one who could fully understand these things should be the Great Sage itself.

Jarvis suddenly issued a warning, “Mr. Etcheberia, Mr. Stark instructed before he left that no one is allowed to touch his design blueprints. I must obey Mr. Stark’s command. Please do not attempt to touch the blueprints.”

Leim waved his hand indifferently, “Oh, it’s fine, just delete this command.”

“Okay, deleted.”

Staring at the 3D blueprint, Leim had a thought: since it didn’t seem too difficult, why not design one himself?

A custom-made item was the soul of souls.

Actions speak louder than words.

Leim immediately sat down in the chair and began to design…

‘Great Sage, it’s your turn!’

‘If there’s anything I don’t understand, remember to give guidance.’

‘Acknowledged.’

Leim’s fingers moved slightly, turning the 3D blueprint over and over, staring at it for a few more glances, nodding in approval, then with a whoosh, he dragged it all to the recycling bin and discarded it.

“A very good idea, a detachable, modular mechanical structure, conservative and rudimentary. Its only advantage is ease of design.”

This was clearly not praise, but carried a hint of mockery.

“I should be able to modify it like this… an integrated suit structure. Here, I can refer to the front-opening mode of Iron Man’s suit at the beginning of Avengers 2… This part should be like this, add a self-stabilizing bracket, use a double-layer composite structure… and then…”

A draft of a new type of armor gradually took shape under Leim’s strokes.

/——————

My name is the Ten Rings leader, and true to my name, I am a leader of the Ten Rings.

I just gave myself a nickname: Hellhound.

This nickname was thanks to Tony Stark; he left a whole patch of burn marks on my right cheek with a small missile.

My subordinates also feared me more now, making them catch dogs but not chase chickens, and when I told them to work, they dared not even breathe.

It’s a beautiful thing to escape death, especially three times in a row.

Tony Stark’s missile didn’t kill me, the ammunition explosion he caused didn’t blow me up, and the US military drawn by the explosion afterwards also failed to kill me.

My subordinates arrived in time and fought with the US military. More people against fewer, nearly a hundred men were beaten like dogs by a five-man US military team, but at least they rescued me. So, not all of them were useless trash.

The US military searched bodies here for a day, probably looking for Tony Stark, but unfortunately, they didn’t know Stark had already left.

Little Brown, who was lucky enough to survive on the mountaintop lookout, said that Stark flew into the sky in his strange armor, passing through the sea of fire and the huge mushroom cloud like a missile.

I truly hoped he died in the desert, letting the sun and cold wind dry his corpse… then I’d find him and keep him as my most precious collection.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find him.

After the US military left, following Little Brown’s directions, I led my subordinates to search along the way, only finding some iron fragments buried in the sand.

It was left by Stark, that crude mask, I remember, he was wearing it at the time.

I will always remember, it was he who deceived my benevolent self with these iron fragments, using the lie of manufacturing Jericho missiles to create another powerful weapon that destroyed my base.

Stark, it truly is you! The most terrifying serial killer in the world!
