Magical User Aozaki Aoko Case Files Chapter 138

Aoko and Chaldea both used magecraft to confirm that the situation with the Webel Velvet in front of them was similar to Mashu’s.

In other words, he was a Pseudo-Servant born from the fusion of a human body with a Servant’s Spirit Origin and power, with the Servant’s voluntary cooperation.

However, Webel’s situation was more advanced than Mashu’s, because El-Melloi II himself was a Pseudo-Servant. This created a buffer between Webel’s human body and the Servant’s Spirit Origin, preventing Webel from being overwhelmed by the powerful energy of the Servant’s Spirit Origin.

“Hahahahaha, you brat, you look like a man in the blink of an eye, don’t you?” Iskandar’s hearty laughter echoed in Kenneth’s workshop, causing everyone to look at him.

“Your Majesty!” Upon seeing Iskandar, Webel instantly became excited.

He placed one hand over his chest and knelt before Iskandar, like a knight pledging allegiance to his liege.

“Eh?” Iskandar was a little surprised. “You brat, did you hit your head when you were sick?”

“Your Majesty, please accept my renewed fealty!” Webel looked up, staring intently into Iskandar’s eyes, and said seriously, “Please allow me to fight alongside you!”

“…Are you a subject of mine from another world?” Iskandar was somewhat surprised, then grew serious. “Good, I accept! I didn’t expect to encounter something so interesting in this Holy Grail War!”

“Thank you, Your Majesty!” Webel stood up from the ground and positioned himself beside Iskandar, his entire demeanor seemingly transformed.

Kenneth watched his naive disciple mature in such a short time, and a feeling of “getting old” involuntarily welled up in his heart.

“While I don’t want to interrupt your touching reunion,” Aoko interjected at the opportune moment, “don’t forget our agreed-upon duel.”

“Ah, of course I won’t forget, Miss Blue,” Webel’s face was confident and resolute. “At that time, I will face you two alongside His Majesty Iskandar!”

“Oh?” Aoko raised an eyebrow and said, “You don’t think that just because you gained a Servant’s power, you can deal with me, Mr. Webel?”

“Of course not,” Webel shook his head and said, “Miss Blue’s name is known throughout the current magecraft world, who hasn’t heard of it? I simply must face you alongside His Majesty Iskandar.”

“I don’t understand your lord-and-vassal matters,” Aoko spread her hands and said, “Then I’ll give you one day. Tomorrow night at ten, Saber and I will be waiting for you on Fuyuki Bridge. I hope you won’t be late, okay?”

With that, Aoko placed a hand on Artoria’s shoulder and activated a teleportation spell. The two figures vanished in a blink of an eye.

“Space magecraft… or perhaps an application of the Fifth Magic?” Kenneth mused. This youngest Magician truly was full of secrets.

“Ah, wait a minute,” Fujimaru Ritsuka seemed to remember something. “Mashu, if Miss Aoko left early, how do we get back to the temple?”

—Dividing Line—

Miss Aoko likely forgot that the two visitors from Chaldea were still in Kenneth’s workshop.

However, it wasn’t a big problem. Kenneth wasn’t overly averse to these two mages from the “Astronomy Department.” After all, in a sense, his student had been saved because of them, so letting them stay for a night was no issue.

Thus, the Holy Grail War reached its fifth day with only one Servant having died.

Aoko was not satisfied with this progress, which was why she proactively proposed a duel with Iskandar. Touko agreed with her decision.

According to the news from Marisbury, the construction of the Great Temple was complete. As soon as enough Servants were killed, Aoko could move the Greater Grail into King Solomon’s Great Temple. This way, whether other Servants or the Demon Pillars still potentially existing in this world wanted to come or not, they would have to come to the Great Temple, which was Aoko and Marisbury’s home turf, and be thoroughly humiliated by her.

Challenging them one by one was too much trouble. Aoko planned to gather them all together and eliminate them in one go.

The next night at ten, Aoko and Artoria were already waiting at Fuyuki City’s famous dueling spot—Fuyuki Bridge.

The two floated in the air, watching as lightning flashed and thunder roared in the clouds. Webel Velvet and Iskandar arrived before them on the Gordius Wheel.

“To contend with the King of Knights of Britain truly fills this king with excitement, hahahahaha!” Iskandar laughed heartily. “But before we begin, may I ask you a question?”

“Speak, King of Conquerors of Macedon,” Artoria said from above. “This king is always lenient with opponents who face her head-on.”

“What is your purpose in obtaining the Holy Grail?” Iskandar asked with piercing eyes. “Does the renowned King of Britain also have a wish she desires to fulfill?”

“This king once indeed had a wish I sought to fulfill through the Holy Grail,” Artoria said, “but now I understand that it was merely an unattainable illusion, a stubborn, one-sided desire.”

“This king’s current wish is to obtain the Holy Grail for my Master,” Artoria said, drawing Excalibur from its scabbard, Avalon. “To fulfill one’s oath is a knight’s greatest responsibility.”

“A king who has lost her original desires?” Iskandar said with some hesitation. “It seems our paths of kingship differ.”

“Different nations create different paths of kingship,” Artoria said. “Britain is not Macedon; of course we would not be the same.”

“This king wishes to obtain a physical body through the Holy Grail and live once more!” Iskandar said to himself, clenching his fist. “This king wishes to embark on a journey to conquer the world again, to measure this world with my own flesh and my own feet!”

“Then I certainly cannot allow you to run rampant, King of Conquerors,” Artoria said with a cold expression. “Your era has long passed. No one in this era anticipates your ‘conquest’!”

“Is not a king supposed to demonstrate the strongest desires and the grandest ideals to the people?” Iskandar argued. “I think you are the one who has become some kind of machine that doesn’t understand the people’s feelings, aren’t you? Let us decide who has the strongest path of kingship!”

With that, Iskandar flicked the reins, and the Gordius Wheel charged forward.
