I agreed to win with Roger, but the guy I met was too young Chapter 105

After a friendly exchange with Laboon,

Rett walked over to the green dinosaur, or rather, a lizard, that was silently weeping while hugging its tail. Let’s just call it a dinosaur.

Since Rett didn’t know the exact location, he wandered across the vast sea, checking every island he came across. After all, even a dinosaur that could run in a sea of stomach acid had a time limit.

We’re not going to be heartless capitalists,

Right, Enel!

Three velociraptors burst from the dense jungle, their sharp claws gouging deep furrows in the ground. Their amber vertical pupils gleamed with predatory ferocity.

“W-wah! W-we’re going to be eaten!” Olga clung desperately to Rett’s arm, her legs trembling.

Perona’s Negative Hollows were already flexing their ethereal muscles. “It’s over, it’s over! My gothic dress is going to get stained with dinosaur blood!”

Rett, however, seemed unconcerned. Instead, he crouched down and rubbed Laboon’s head. “It’s up to you, buddy.”

Laboon slapped its fin against its chest. “Woo!” (Translation: Leave it to me!)

It took a deep breath, its muscles inflating like a balloon.

“Ora Ora Ora!!!”

Laboon transformed into a blue lightning bolt, its fists tearing through the air with sonic booms. It was so fast that flames even erupted from its body.

It hasn’t eaten the Mera Mera no Mi, so a little flame is perfectly reasonable, right?

Laboon’s punch went straight for the lead velociraptor! This was a fighting style Rett had taught Laboon, inspired by Ideo’s “Destruction Cannon” from a later part of the story.

Laboon bent its legs slightly, pulling back its right fist to gather power. A blue vortex, unique to Sea Kings, condensed around its knuckles.

“Woo—!!” (Translation: Take this!)

“Boom!!!”

The punch landed squarely on the velociraptor’s lower jaw, and the shockwave spread out in a fan shape. Everyone clearly heard a crisp crack, followed by a tremendous explosion—the result of friction at the extreme speed of the punch.

The lead velociraptor’s eyes rolled back, its tongue lolled out half a meter, and its massive body flew backward as if launched by a trebuchet, continuously breaking seven ancient trees with two-meter diameters before stopping. Finally, it embedded itself “thump” into a tree trunk, its legs still twitching in the air.

Rett once again marveled at the One Piece world’s “tanky” attribute. If this were his original world, it would have been scattered everywhere.

Of course, the battle wasn’t over.

Laboon suddenly ducked, then delivered a sweeping strike with its tail fin.

“Whoosh—!”

A half-meter-deep trench was gouged into the ground. The two remaining velociraptors had just begun their pounce when they realized—

They hadn’t even finished their attack pose, but their bodies were already airborne.

“Rumble!”

The two colossal beasts, weighing several tons combined, simultaneously crashed to the ground.

When the dust settled, the two velociraptors were flailing their limbs like overturned turtles, their tails slapping the ground with loud smacks.

Laboon wasn’t about to let them off the hook. It charged forward, planting its tail firmly (since Laboon didn’t have legs, it couldn’t take a proper stance, which was quite amusing), and its fins glowed blue.

“Bang!”

Its left fist struck the second velociraptor’s lower abdomen, sending it flying.

“Bang!”

Its right fist slammed into the third velociraptor’s chest, sending it flying + 2.

Everyone looked up at the two increasingly smaller black dots.

Enel suddenly raised a hand. “Should I catch them?”

Rett waved his hand, sighing. “No need, let them fly for a bit. Laboon is getting really strong now. I’ll have a lot of face when I see Brook later.”

Five seconds later—

“Boom!!!”

The first one crashed into the sea, sending up a geyser of water.

“Splat!”

The second one landed in front of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, perfectly positioned in a standard “dogeza” pose.

Hey, hey, hey, can a dinosaur really do that?

“It’s time to find Dr. Miskinah Achille. Is that his name, Olga?” Rett asked.

Olga nodded.

The group continued their search on the island.

“Is Dad really here?” Olga clutched the hem of her clothes, her voice trembling. The little girl hadn’t yet transitioned from hating her father for researching and causing her mother’s death to understanding that her parents’ research was for her treatment. Hating him for so many years wasn’t something that could change overnight.

Rett ruffled her golden hair. “Don’t cry when you see him later.”

Passing through dense ferns, the group saw a strange sight—

A man wearing a homemade dinosaur headpiece was squatting by the river, intently eating meat with a group of small dinosaurs.

“A pink little dinosaur, what good taste, old man,” Rett teased the pink dinosaur that was grunting and gnawing on meat.

“…Dad?”

The meat in the man’s hand dropped to the ground with a splat. He slowly turned around, his eyes behind his glasses widening instantly. “O-Olga?”

There was no tearful embrace, no frantic questioning. Father and daughter just stared at each other from three meters away.

Finally, the doctor moved first. He fumbled to remove his dinosaur headpiece, revealing his messy hair, and tears immediately gushed out (uh, in a physical sense)—truly a shonen anime.

Rett felt like it was like that big firework from the children’s channel before. My apologies, my apologies, a sin indeed.

Olga’s toes scuffed the ground. “…Mm.”

Rett stepped back a few paces, giving the father and daughter some space.

Perona: “Oh my~ there are pretty flowers over there!” She even took Laboon with her.

Enel: “…Mortals are such a bother.” (But still followed them away).

The doctor nervously rubbed his hands. “I… I thought you…”

“I thought you were dead too.” Olga cut him off, her voice very soft. “Big Brother Rett told me everything…”

There was no melodramatic misunderstanding or sad plot. The two hugged and cried loudly.

Olga and the doctor’s embrace lasted a long time, but eventually, they both let go.

There were no excessive explanations, no lengthy confessions.

The doctor simply patted his daughter’s shoulder gently, while Olga turned her face away, secretly wiping the corners of her eyes.

(Some love is silent, needing no explanation; an embrace is worth a thousand words, Stephen Chow’s cinematic artistry.)

Rett walked over at the opportune moment, a cigarette dangling from his lips, and smiled. “Done catching up? Then it’s time to talk business.”

The doctor pushed up his crooked glasses. “Business?”

“Yeah.” Rett grinned. “We’re short a scientist. Do you want to join us?”

Rett wanted absolute status in the One Piece world—strength, wealth, power, he wanted it all. This couldn’t be achieved by martial prowess alone.

He wanted to become the greatest “Face-Face Fruit” user in the One Piece world. There was still so much time before the original plot, enough for Rett to start laying out his plans.

Our great leader said that science and technology are the primary productive forces. A doctor who could create Pure Gold could ensure that the members of Rett’s pirate crew remained at peak condition.

Pure Gold has two interpretations: one is a conceptual state that restricts the body, and the other is a slowing effect, but with excellent results, though life force still depletes.

For Rett, there was no difference between these two.

Life force was the least scarce thing in the world, especially with a certain mysterious person who liked to pull strings behind the scenes and whose appearance was still unknown.

Rett was about to make his move.

“Doctor, you might not mind being alone, but you wouldn’t want Olga to live like a wild person with you forever, would you?”

A small tip for interpersonal communication.

“And you don’t have to abandon your research. Funding is not an issue. Just tell us what you need, and we’ll provide it.”

The doctor’s expression clearly showed he was tempted. Rett glanced at Tesoro.

[User of the Mist Mist Fruit] [Acid and Base Corrosion] [Veteran of Roger's Pirates] [Participated in the Valley of the Gods] [Ghost in the Mist] [Men should play with greatswords] [The mist may drain life] "I hope it's the Straw Hats... I hope it's the Straw Hats..." He put his hands together and prayed, and suddenly realized something, "Wait, what if it's the Blackbeard Pirates? We don't even know the timeline now, let's wait and see. If I can't tell, I'll run." The ship gradually approached, and Rhett narrowed his eyes. A young man in a straw hat stood on the bow, and next to him was a blond man with glasses. The distance was too far to see the face clearly, but the straw hat... "Luffy! It's Luffy!" Wright was so excited that he danced with joy, "I knew the river god wouldn't be so deceiving!" Wright was so excited to see the straw hat, when the boat docked, Wright rushed forward: "Luffy! Zoro! I missed you guys so much!" The young man in the straw hat was confused: "Who is Luffy?" The blond man pushed his glasses: "My name is Rayleigh, and he is Roger." During our long journey, Wright seemed to have not changed at all, he was still as handsome as ever. During the war at the top, the blood mist shrouded Marinford, and a pair of blood-red eyes appeared in the mist, "What are you going to do to my lovely nephew?"
