A promise…

As Asgard’s most infamous prankster, Loki has never been one to keep promises.

“No, you are! You are Loki, you are the son of Odin, you are the King of Asgard!” Thor shouted, then hugged him tightly, patting his back hard.

“And you are my brother!”

In space, there was no air, no medium for sound transmission.

Near Mars, a small group of cosmic marauders slowly approached.

There weren’t many ships, their firepower wasn’t strong, and they were an obscure crew in the universe. Their ships used the lowest-grade fuel, and even their jump engines were second-hand, needing constant tinkering to barely maintain their lifespan.

Such a crew brazenly approached Earth.

On the command ship, the leader of the crew stared with his three eyes at the screen in front of him. It displayed a light point with powerful energy fluctuations, seemingly an unprecedented special energy source. Best of all, according to the information they had found, the civilization on this planet was extremely primitive, not even having truly stepped out of their home planet, let alone genuinely joined the Milky Way galaxy.

This marauder crew had, a few weeks ago, experienced a jump engine malfunction that caused them to deviate significantly from their intended jump point, but they had inadvertently detected this powerful energy signal.

As a group of audacious marauders, they almost immediately decided to head to the source of the energy signal to steal this powerful energy, which might even fetch a good price.

It was precisely because they had come to this remote little place that they hadn’t received the news immediately. They didn’t know that the Chitauri had been annihilated just days before.

The marauder leader slapped the screen even more impatiently. The second-hand screen finally couldn’t withstand his abuse and, after a burst of flickering, turned completely black.

“!” The marauder leader cursed angrily, then prepared to go to the lounge to wake up the engineer and have him fix it.

Then he looked out the window…

A green, massive wall, many times larger than their dilapidated ship, blocked their path.

On the display next to him, the screen miraculously recovered at that moment. The only intact external camera on the ship showed the situation outside.

A gigantic fang, beyond the limits of intelligent life’s imagination, like a wall, blocked their way. The scanning device immediately activated, scanning and uploading the massive object in front of them. After being computed and simulated by the computer, the image was displayed on the screen.

It was a terrifying giant creature. It had a row of sharp, hard teeth and a protruding head. On both sides of its body were long fins, gently flapping in outer space, and its body emitted an unsettling green glow.

If this marauder leader had researched Earth more, he would have known that this giant creature was called a shark on Earth.
