But Corvus Glaive wasn’t Ebony Maw; he lacked the ability to interfere with others’ minds through language. So Proxima Midnight merely spat at him, turning her face away in disgust.

Corvus Glaive’s expression immediately darkened.

He grabbed Proxima Midnight by her horn and slammed her head against the wall repeatedly. Thumping sounds echoed as the metal wall was dented into a large crater by his blows.

Corvus Glaive disgustedly flung Proxima Midnight to the ground. Blood flowed profusely from the back of her head, her life hanging by a thread.

With rage, Corvus Glaive pulled out a large golden gauntlet from a box on his person and immediately put it on his left hand.

In an instant, a strong dark red light expanded.

The power of the Reality Stone was so immense, and the ability of the Infinity Gauntlet was so incredible. Just one stone made Corvus Glaive somewhat unable to bear it. He screamed, shrieked, and cursed as the intense energy surged into his body, overwhelming him.

A peculiar red light flowed through his body, constantly expanding and colliding, as if it would burst his body open.

But ultimately, he endured.

Holding the gem that could change the world, he let out an arrogant, wild laugh.

The Infinity Gauntlet was not a safe, harmless piece of equipment that anyone could use.

Unlike Mjolnir, which could turn even a frail cancer patient into Thor, the Infinity Gauntlet and the Infinity Stones were pieces of equipment with certain requirements for their wielder.

That pain, that torment, that terrifying sensation of energy coursing through his entire body, and the illusion that he controlled the entire world, all served as immense tests for the wielder.

As an alien, Corvus Glaive possessed extremely strong physical qualities and a passable will, so he successfully endured the test of the Infinity Gauntlet and made it his own.

But mentally, he had not truly triumphed.

He extended his left hand, gazing intoxicated at the golden gauntlet. The red gem glowed faintly. He could feel the immense control it granted over matter, over reality, over every substance in the world.

Matter was no longer a whole but like building blocks, something he could arbitrarily twist, destroy, and reshape.

With this power, he was a god, a true god in this world!

Corvus Glaive’s face showed extreme joy. He laughed wildly, as if everything in the world was held in his hand, as if everything in the world would move according to his will.

Then he looked at Proxima Midnight, who lay on the ground.

“My dear, it’s truly regrettable. You were once the one I loved most, but since you refuse to join me, I can only destroy you!” Corvus Glaive regretfully shook his head, raising the gauntlet towards Proxima Midnight with a regretful expression and a cruel smile.

“Stop!” a low voice said.

Corvus Glaive’s body trembled uncontrollably. A nearly boundless fear surged into his heart. He felt as if something terrifying was approaching him; every organ in his body screamed desperately, urging him to flee quickly.

His body stiffened, his teeth chattering, and he trembled as he turned his head towards the source of the voice.

A massive boom tube opened inside the spaceship, and a tall, grey figure emerged from it.

His body was tall, about two meters, with a robust physique and bulging muscles. His skin was grey, like hard rock. He wore blue metal armor, with a striking dark red Omega symbol on his chest.

Heavy footsteps echoed within the spaceship. Each step on the ground caused immense fear. The杂兵 mercenaries bought by Corvus Glaive cried out in terror, pushing each other in waves, creating a wide passage for Thanos in the not-so-spacious spaceship corridor.

Behind Thanos, a Mantis, dressed in green, with two antennae on her head and eerie completely black eyes, nervously fidgeted with her fingers, looking uneasily at the surrounding crowd.

Thanos gently patted her head. Mantis slightly narrowed her eyes, seemingly enjoying his touch.

“Lord Thanos!” Proxima Midnight, lying on the ground, coughing blood, struggled to salute Thanos.

“Shut up! You, you foolish woman!” Corvus Glaive shouted wildly at her, then fiercely stomped on her back. Proxima Midnight let out a scream and spat out another mouthful of blood.

Corvus Glaive again turned his gaze to Thanos, his eyes filled with boundless fear and unease, a stark contrast to his earlier arrogant attitude towards Proxima Midnight.

“Thanos! I’m not afraid of you! I’m not afraid!” Corvus Glaive shouted loudly, trying to cover up his fear. Sweat began to seep from his forehead, his body trembled nervously, and the chattering of his teeth made him look very comical.

“You shouldn’t have betrayed me!” Thanos shook his head regretfully, his eyes filled with sadness and sorrow.

“I truly didn’t want to kill you, truly not…” Thanos sighed, and a red light slowly lit up in his eyes.

“You can’t kill me! I have the Reality Stone! I can change reality! I am a god!” Corvus Glaive shouted arrogantly in extreme fear. His body no longer trembled; instead, he gripped the gauntlet with a desperate resolve. The red Reality Stone glowed brilliantly, and the power to change reality was now in his grasp.

The next moment, a dark red beam struck his chest, obliterating his existence in an instant. The golden gauntlet fell from the air, rolling twice on the ground.

Thanos walked forward, but did not look at the Infinity Gauntlet on the ground. Instead, he helped Proxima Midnight up, checking her injuries.

Proxima Midnight opened her eyes, uttering incomprehensible words. Extreme pain made it difficult for her to form complete sentences.

Thanos pulled out a Mother Box, from which a warm light slowly seeped, enveloping Proxima Midnight’s body and repairing her injuries.

The next moment, a furious roar erupted. Cull Obsidian, wielding a massive axe, charged towards Thanos with boundless rage. But Thanos didn’t even turn his head, instantly swatting him backward. Cull Obsidian was sent flying, crashing heavily against the metal wall.

His neck was strangely twisted, and blood seeped from various parts of his body; he was dead beyond dead.

And Proxima Midnight, finally, under the Mother Box’s healing, slowly regained consciousness. “I’m sorry, cough, we couldn’t retrieve the other stones!” Proxima Midnight said to Thanos with vexation.

“It’s alright, it’s alright. Your survival is enough. Besides…” Thanos then looked at the Infinity Gauntlet on the ground and picked it up.

“This gem completes the final link.”
