Let me show you a new way Chapter 145

When Sif was young, she had heard of something called the [Hell Dimension].

Legend had it that in the Hell Dimension, there were countless tortured souls, enduring endless suffering.

Sif didn’t believe any of it; she thought they were just legends, like scary stories parents told to lull children to sleep. But perhaps a story was a story precisely because it had a prototype.

For Sif, the place she was in now, and the pain and torment she was enduring, were no different from what was called hell.

————Two Years Ago————

The Warriors Three and Sif were on a mission together, hunting several beasts that threatened the lives of civilians.

However, when they returned, they received a series of tragic news.

Asgard had been breached by the Dark Elves, King Odin and Queen Frigga were dead, Heimdall was missing, and Loki’s whereabouts were unknown.

Countless Dark Elf spacecraft soared through the sky, wantonly capturing civilians to work as slaves.

Hogun initially believed it was Loki’s conspiracy, thinking Loki had murdered his own parents to seize power.

But Volstagg, who usually disliked Loki and considered him cunning, unexpectedly reprimanded Hogun. He firmly believed Loki couldn’t do such a thing. Although Volstagg disliked Loki, he was the oldest in the group and already had children; he could see Loki’s love for Odin and Frigga.

No child would do such a thing to their parents, Volstagg was absolutely convinced of this.

Then the four had a disagreement about their objective. Hogun and Fandral insisted on investigating inside Asgard. They believed King Odin and Queen Frigga might not truly be dead; it could be a trick by the Dark Elves, and perhaps Odin and Frigga had escaped or were sealed somewhere, waiting for warriors to rescue them.

But Volstagg and Sif believed that Odin and Frigga would not abandon their kingdom and flee. Most importantly, the enemy clearly outnumbered them now. Those disgusting Chitauri were like locusts swarming the sky, and Asgardian warriors had already been slaughtered by the Dark Elves in alliance with the Chitauri.

They believed the most important objective now was to organize the civilians who hadn’t been captured yet, and unite to escape the Dark Elves’ pursuit.

Both sides believed their own views were correct…

So, reluctantly, they decided to split up. Volstagg and Sif would organize the civilians and hide in the deep mountains.

Fandral and Hogun would infiltrate Asgard to gather information.

However…

Fandral and Hogun had forgotten that neither of them, or rather, none of them, were good at stealth. A long time ago, they always had Loki use illusion magic to gather information, or cover the entire team with magic to hide their tracks.

At that time, although they often relied on Loki’s magic, subconsciously, they still looked down on him.

However, when they truly got rid of Loki’s magic and relied on their own abilities to gather information and infiltrate enemy lines, they helplessly discovered that they couldn’t hide for long before being discovered, and could only jump out to fight.

So they were knocked out and captured.

Meanwhile, Sif and Volstagg were gathering the scattered civilians, hiding them in the deep mountains, using the complex terrain to evade the Dark Elves’ detection.

Then, over a year ago, while they were out hunting for food, they were accidentally discovered by a few Chitauri. Sif decisively drew her sword and killed them.

But, not being skilled at covering their tracks, they were quietly followed, leading a large number of Dark Elves and Chitauri to them.

And then they saw…

Something they had never seen before, something as terrifying as a demon from hell.

Fandral and Hogun were stuck back-to-back by some evil magic. Fandral’s face, which he always considered handsome, and his mustache were preserved, but his brain had been scooped out and replaced with eerie silver machinery. Both his arms were severed and replaced with four flexible silver tentacles.

“What have they done to you?” Volstagg stared blankly at the modified Fandral and Hogun, his eyes filled with sadness and anger.

“Done what?” Fandral’s face held a very genuine expression of confusion. “They did nothing, my brothers and sisters. They showed me the truth, they made me understand the facts, they made me realize that the universe has lost its balance, and the flesh…”

“The flesh… is the source of all evil!” Fandral finished, slowly extending his four flexible tentacles. With a slight tremor, four blood-red plasma streams burst from the tentacles, humming in the air.

“Join us. This world is corrupted, this world needs purification. Join us, and we will become brethren again; we will bring new life to this world!” Fandral’s face seemed to retain some of his old memories, as he earnestly tried to persuade Volstagg and Sif.

But they could not agree.

Fandral’s face held an expression of immense regret as he gently shook his head.

“What a pity, but it doesn’t matter. No matter what, you will eventually join us!” Fandral said, looking at Volstagg and Sif.

Then he raised his four blood-red lightsabers high and shouted loudly.

【For Lord Thanos!】

A battle then erupted.

Fandral’s excellent swordsmanship was not lost due to his mechanical modifications; on the contrary, the four flexible tentacles and indestructible lightsabers made his attacks even more powerful. He easily suppressed the attacks of the two.

No matter how or where they attacked, Fandral would easily block them. Even if they were lucky enough to get behind Fandral, Hogun, who was stuck to Fandral’s back, would draw his long blade and fight them.

In the end, Volstagg’s arms were severed by a lightsaber, and Sif was knocked unconscious by Hogun with the flat of his blade.

And then… Sif couldn’t remember clearly. Endless pain, endless torment.

Her vision was complete darkness. Something seemed to be constantly drilling into her brain, trying to make her give up resistance, give up her resolve, give up her pride and honor.

But in the end, Sif resisted. Although it got harder and more painful each time, she ultimately persevered. She endured, because…

For Asgard!

Then she heard a sound…

A familiar, gentle voice, filled with anxiety, anger, and bewilderment.

“Sif, are you alright? Hold on, I’ll save you right away!” the voice said.

Sif saw a light, a light that pierced the darkness and cut through the sky. A pair of large hands tore through the darkness, and light streamed in. Sif’s body fell limply, then was caught by a pair of strong arms.

“It’s alright, Sif, it’s alright.”

“I’m here…”
