Let me show you a new way Chapter 110

Outside the HYDRA base, a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers slowly surrounded the base. They had been directly assigned by Nick Fury and had waited in the vicinity for a long time, until Jane Foster had controlled all the HYDRA agents inside and sent them a signal. Only then did they prepare to enter and clean up the mess.

Jane Foster didn’t particularly like S.H.I.E.L.D., but she had to admit that compared to HYDRA, she would rather choose to help S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ever since her conversation with S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury, she had become an unregistered senior agent within S.H.I.E.L.D.

She wasn’t on the payroll, had no information, and Nick Fury hadn’t given her any high-level clearance. Because, for Jane Foster, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s computers were like unlocked filing cabinets.

What she had to do wasn’t much; she only took on tasks she was interested in. Since Nick Fury had no coercive means to restrain her, she enjoyed a great deal of freedom.

And what Nick Fury had to do was to be a bridge of communication with her parents, so they wouldn’t have to worry.

So, in a practical sense, Jane Foster actually had no work to do at all, and she didn’t like fighting and killing.

But ever since she discovered the so-called Project Insight online, she felt an uncontrollable rage for the first time. So she began communicating with Nick Fury, determined to dig out every hidden HYDRA agent.

This was the last HYDRA base, and the people here were the last HYDRA agents. Her mission was complete, and she could finally rest for a while.

Then, a silver light flashed beside her, striking her face fiercely.

Jane Foster was sent flying by the blow, crashing into the nearby wall. Her silver metallic body embedded itself into the wall with a clang, easily smashing a large hole in it.

“What… was that…”

Jane Foster felt groggy. She immediately retrieved the footage recorded by her electronic eyes and slowed it down several hundred times.

A young silver-haired man ran to her side at an extremely fast speed, then delivered a merciless straight punch to her face. The impact from the high speed sent her flying directly into the air.

Jane Foster’s face darkened as she watched the constantly appearing silver ripples around her. In another spot, a woman’s fingers were wrapped in crimson light streams. These light streams flew out as her fingers moved, easily tearing the handcuffs and leg irons of the HYDRA soldiers into pieces.

Jane Foster braced herself against the wall with both hands, forcefully pulling herself out of the hole in the wall. Crushed stone and dust rolled down from the wall.

Her back opened up with spoilers and two thrusters, and faint blue flames shot out, allowing her to float in the air.

Jane Foster frowned, information obtained from HYDRA records reverberating in her mind, which had become a quantum computer.

[Pietro Maximoff]

[Codename: Quicksilver, elder of the twins, successful subject of the psychic experiment, ability: super-speed movement.]

[Wanda Maximoff]

[Codename: Scarlet Witch, younger of the twins, another successful subject of the psychic experiment, ability: telekinesis.]

“Psychic experiment?” Jane Foster frowned, feeling genuinely curious, but she didn’t have time to get distracted. The twins had already rescued all the HYDRA soldiers and turned their gaze towards her, floating in the air.

“All S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers, things have changed, suspend operations, do not act rashly.” Jane Foster contacted the distant S.H.I.E.L.D. agents through her communication device, ordering them to temporarily cease operations.

Then she looked at the twins on the ground, meeting their gaze. She saw a lot: the hatred, anger, and sadness in their eyes.

“Why are you associating with these HYDRA agents?” Jane Foster asked loudly, her eyes filled with confusion. “They experimented on you, why are you still helping them?”

“That battlesuit on you… who gave it to you?” The silver-haired man named Pietro didn’t answer Jane’s question, but immediately retorted. He was wearing an anti-friction compression sportswear, arms crossed, as he looked at Jane’s mechanical body.

“Battlesuit?” Jane Foster scoffed. This wasn’t Iron Man’s battlesuit; this was her own body, the machinery that sustained her life, or rather, a prosthetic.

“Heh, never mind, even if you don’t want to say, I can guess, it’s probably that Tony Stark’s again!” Pietro sneered, staring at Jane Foster with hateful eyes.

Tony Stark was truly a case of “mind your own business, trouble comes knocking.” Jane’s own mechanical body had absolutely nothing to do with Tony Stark. But for some reason, everyone who saw her assumed it was a mechanical battlesuit, and some even suspected she had seduced Iron Man with her looks and then stolen this Iron Man suit.

These idiots never considered: could an Iron Man suit actually be stolen? Tony Stark’s home had a very powerful AI that even Jane Foster couldn’t hack into. Even if she occasionally managed to sneak in, she would only see things like “Sunwell Magic Furnace,” “Differences in effects between Vedic mantras and modern spells,” “Various common types of Purgatory demons and countermeasures”—data that was clearly fake.

How could Tony Stark, a physicist, spend all day researching these mystical things? This information must have been placed on the surface to mislead people.

Moreover, his AI also had quite powerful evolutionary capabilities. After using the same method to get in, she would be discovered and patched within about seven seconds. The same trick simply couldn’t work twice.

Iron Man Tony Stark’s home could be said to be fully armed; no one could invade it.

But unfortunately, most people didn’t have the brain capacity to think about such complex matters. They could only see a woman covered in silver metal, with flames shooting from her feet and back, floating in the air—this was clearly Iron Man’s style. So, they mentally decided that this was Tony Stark’s battlesuit.

“These idiots…” Jane Foster muttered to herself. Her mind immediately accessed the network, and in a mere second, she investigated the detailed information on the Maximoff siblings.

She also understood why they were so hostile towards Jane.

Because what they hated wasn’t Jane Foster, but the layer of metal skin on her, or to put it another way.

They hated Tony Stark.
