Loki couldn’t go back…

He had realized this a long time ago. The Bifrost was controlled by the Dark Elves, Heimdall was severely wounded during the invasion, and then personally killed by his own father, Odin.

If he guessed correctly, Asgard was probably completely destroyed. His ambition, his lust for power, everything he had once dreamed of, all dissipated like smoke.

His only motivation now was the little girl beside him, whose identity was unknown. The little girl who fell from the sky, landing beside him via the Bifrost.

She had lost all her memories, she had forgotten who she was.

But she was an Asgardian, a true Asgardian, probably the last Asgardian in this world.

So Loki took on his responsibility. As the King of Asgard, he would take good care of this little Asgardian girl.

Legally, they were father and daughter. Loki had once told Hela his true identity, such as his real name being Loki, not Selyr, that he came from the mythical Asgard, and that his father was Odin, King of the Gods.

But Hela had always been dismissive.

She didn’t believe her father’s stories, thinking he might be joking with her, just like many parents told mythical stories. Hela believed she was grown up and wouldn’t believe such fake stories.

And during this time, Loki hadn’t stopped looking for his brother, but after observing from the shadows for a while, he regretfully discovered that even though their father was dead and the seal had long since failed, that fool still hadn’t discovered his own power.

The long-term seal had completely turned Thor into a mortal. Even if the seal failed, inertia would still take effect in his heart, continuing to prevent him from using superhuman powers.

So Loki didn’t go to see him. Let him remain a foolish idiot. That way, he could still hope for Asgard in his heart, without having to bear the bad news of his parents’ deaths and the tragedy of his homeland’s destruction.

Loki sighed, gently patted Hela’s head beside him, and began to unwrap the gift box in his hands. Hela watched Loki with expectant eyes, seemingly waiting for his joyful expression.

However, when Loki opened the gift box and saw its contents, he fell silent for a moment. It wasn’t a look of surprise or happiness.

“Hela! Where did you get this?” Loki reached into the gift box and pulled out a black dagger.

The dagger was entirely black, looking very sharp, with some hollowed-out and raised patterns in the middle. The knowledgeable Loki recognized at a glance that it was of Asgardian style.

And the dagger’s material was a special magical metal, also a magical metal that could only be made in Asgard.

Loki examined the dagger in his hand, asking again, his eyes gleaming with a light Hela had never seen before.

This was an Asgardian dagger, a brand new dagger. Did this mean other Asgardians had come to Earth? How did he, or they, get to Earth? Did they have a way to go back? What was Asgard like now? Were there any other survivors?

Loki thought of many things in that instant. The hope he had lost in the past two years was rekindled. He wanted to return to Asgard, he wanted to save Asgard.

“I… uh…” Hela stammered for some reason.

“Please tell me, Hela, where did you get this…” Loki looked seriously into Hela’s eyes, even a hint of pleading could be seen in them. This was a new ray of hope, his hope of returning to Asgard.

“I… I’m not sure…” Hela lowered her head, avoiding her father’s gaze.

“What do you mean you’re not sure?” Loki involuntarily raised his voice.

“Alright, alright! You want to know, don’t you?” Hela cried out, shouting somewhat self-destructively, then extended her hands.

An emerald green light appeared in her palms, and a dagger slowly extended from the light, then dropped to the ground, making a clinking sound.

“That’s how it is!” Hela shouted loudly, her face a little pale. Creating this dagger seemed to have put a great burden on her, leaving her somewhat exhausted.

“I don’t know how it works, or what its principle is, but I can make blades appear from my palm, and I know this isn’t normal! Now I’ve told you, what else do you want?” Hela complained loudly, even with a hint of a sob.

She had accidentally seen a broken dagger in her father’s study, and that dagger seemed to have special meaning to her father. Because he always looked at the dagger, lost in thought. So Hela had always wanted to get a dagger for her father to make him feel better.

But she was just an eleven or twelve-year-old girl, and no store would sell her a dangerous item like a dagger.

Then one day, Hela discovered a change in herself. She could create an emerald green space and pull a dagger out of it.

Hela hugged her legs, burying her head in her embrace, crying softly.

Was she a monster? Would her father hate her because of this? Or would she be dissected and studied by some scientists?

The little girl cried aggrievedly. Loki sighed, gently patted Hela’s back, and pulled her into his embrace.

“This is normal! Hela! This is normal, because just like I said a long time ago…”

Hela looked up, tears still on her face. Her father was smiling, then extended his palm.

Amidst a flickering of light and shadow, a broken metal dagger appeared out of thin air in Loki’s palm.

“Look! We are Asgardians…”

“We are born different!”

————————

Tony picked up a wine glass and poured a glass of red wine for his long-unseen magic mentor.

“I still remember the first time you came, you took red wine from my cellar to invite me to drink!” Tony raised his glass and teased. But Lin Dong didn’t respond, instead looking at Tony’s workshop with curiosity.

The workshop was enclosed by transparent glass, and inside there were many shelves, on which more than fifty rings of different colors, sizes, and materials were fixed.

“Oh! Do you want to come and see?” Tony stood up, preparing to open the defensive measures on the workshop. Inviting his mentor to visit.

But Lin Dong shook his head, taking a small sip of the red wine in his glass.

“I didn’t come here to reminisce with you, Tony!”

“This world is facing danger. A terrifying demon has awakened from a long slumber, possessing extremely formidable power, the power to destroy and end everything.”

“And his subordinates are coming to Earth.”

“We need to gather the superhumans of this world…”

“Let’s see if we can achieve something greater…”
