In the darkness, several figures were fighting.

Owlman deftly dodged Nightwing’s short staff, then pulled a small taser from his utility belt and pressed it against Nightwing’s neck.

The taser buzzed, and Nightwing’s body began to convulse before he collapsed to the ground.

“Why are you fighting me, Dick?” Owlman asked softly, as he chopped Red Hood’s arm with a swift hand, knocking his gun to the ground.

Nightwing, sprawled on the ground, finally stopped convulsing. Though the current had ceased, his body wouldn’t recover so quickly. He lay there helplessly, unable to join the fight.

“What I’m doing is right. I’m contributing to this world. I’m trying to make it better! I’m no different from you!” Owlman argued, sounding utterly sincere.

“But you killed innocent people, took the lives of those civilians!” A cold voice came from beneath Red Hood’s helmet. Without hesitation, he fired another shot, but Owlman threw an expanding adhesive at it. The adhesive stuck to his pistol, rapidly expanding and completely sealing the gun’s muzzle.

Owlman continued to speak, defending his actions. “Innocent people? They were hardly innocent. That young man cheering at the very front, he was Gotham’s mayor’s illegitimate son. He once…”

“Bang!”

Owlman exploded into a bloody mess.

Behind him, Lin Dong floated high in the air, retracting his finger.

Just moments ago, he had silently appeared behind Owlman and blasted him into smithereens with a single spell!

Clearly, this Owlman lacked Batman’s unscientific dodging abilities and was directly eliminated by him.

“What did you do?” Nightwing, still on the ground, roared in anger.

Lin Dong frowned. With a wave of his hand, the gun in Red Hood’s hand turned into a balloon gun, and the red helmet on his head became a transparent fishbowl.

“I must say, he didn’t massacre innocent civilians. Everyone who died was a heinous criminal, a killer, a pervert, a rapist, a pedophile, a drug dealer, a smuggler. Every single one of them deserved to die.” A glowing screen appeared in Lin Dong’s hand, displaying the true identities of those killed by Owlman’s bomb, along with their hidden illicit dealings.

Jason Todd removed the transparent fishbowl from his head and casually tossed it to the ground, where it immediately shattered into countless glass fragments.

“Well, Jason, do you feel he killed them very well now? Do you think his actions align perfectly with your principles, perhaps even better than that detestable old bat?” Lin Dong sneered.

“But I’m telling you, while he looks like Batman and acts like Red Hood, his true nature is identical to the Joker’s.”

“They come from a parallel universe, a universe opposite to this one. But that universe was destroyed, which is why they fled to this world.” Lin Dong recounted the Crime Syndicate’s past.

“And the destruction of that world was orchestrated by Owlman himself.” Lin Dong revealed a major secret, one that even the Crime Syndicate members didn’t know. ①

Through time regression and the aid of the Speed Force, he had clearly seen certain aspects of Owlman’s past.

Owlman was a complete nihilist. He believed Gotham was beyond saving, a belief that eventually spread until he deemed all humanity beyond saving, believing all humans should die.

And he succeeded.

In his original world, he found the entire world tending towards chaos, towards war and slaughter. So he secretly formulated a plan and eventually connected with a person through a grid.

Or rather, a god!

As a mere mortal, he successfully contacted Darkseid and ultimately brought Darkseid to Earth.

The Crime Syndicate of that world were all cowards who couldn’t possibly save the world, so they fled, escaping from that world on the brink of destruction.

And this world was next.

Lin Dong disdainfully looked at the puddle of blood on the ground. After a moment’s thought, he extended his hand again, and magic surged, completely erasing Owlman’s last trace of existence in this world.

Then he looked at the others, who still showed clear signs of vigilance in their eyes.

“This person is not Batman at all; he is simply the embodiment of the Joker.” Lin Dong looked at the clean ground and ascended into the air.

“He is utterly unworthy of that costume and his name. He bears no resemblance to Green Lantern Hal Jordan. He is a complete waste.”

He was waiting, waiting for a new crisis to descend.

Then he saw it.

A boom tube suddenly opened.

Countless Parademons flew out, covering the sky!
