Let me show you a new way Chapter 048

Night, continuous drizzle.

Near an old warehouse in Gotham City, a monster emerged from the shadows.

He had a tall, green body, sharp teeth, and was covered in dense scales, like a walking crocodile that sent shivers down one’s spine. Lightning occasionally streaked across the night sky, casting his long shadow on the ground, like the legendary sewer crocodile.

Beside him, followed a lightly dressed woman with short white hair, exuding a chilling aura.

Killer Croc and Killer Frost.

Killer Croc is a classic Gotham villain. Although he looks like a crocodile, a half-human, half-crocodile hybrid, he is actually a complete human being, who only grew scales and sharp teeth due to an atavistic phenomenon. (???)

As for whether this is scientific, don’t worry about it.

Killer Frost is a criminal with ice abilities.

A security guard inadvertently spotted Killer Croc. He immediately pressed the alarm and notified all security personnel to be on high alert.

“Don’t come any closer! I warn you, don’t come any closer!” the guard shouted, but the two still approached unhurriedly. The guard cursed under his breath, turned his taser to maximum power, and pulled the trigger at Killer Frost.

Killer Croc immediately shielded her, seemingly intending to block the taser’s current with his thick skin, but when the wires connected to Killer Croc’s chest, he let out a terrible scream and collapsed to the ground, limp.

“Wayne Enterprises’ tasers are really effective!” This was the security guard’s last thought. The next moment, he was encased in ice, his consciousness frozen at that moment.

Icy mist released from Killer Frost’s hands, encasing him.

“Hey! Wake up, big oaf!” She kicked the fallen Killer Croc with her foot. Killer Croc grunted twice, shook his head, and stood up.

This warehouse was an old one, affiliated with an unknown company, seemingly used for storing goods. But if someone skilled in law obtained some internal documents, they could analyze that…

This warehouse belonged to Wayne Enterprises.

Killer Croc shook his head and followed Killer Frost to the warehouse door. She easily opened the warehouse door with some kind of decoding tool. As the two saw the warehouse door slowly open, their bodies instinctively relaxed.

A black shadow descended from the sky…

Thunder flashed at that moment, and a sudden roar echoed in the sky. The black shadow’s body cast a long, bat-like shadow on the ground. Killer Croc nervously turned his head and shouted, “It’s Batman! It’s…”

The bat-shadow flew to his side, flicked an arm slightly, stuck a small device on his face, then rolled on the ground, dodging Killer Croc’s massive, fan-like slap, and then shielded his body with his cape.

With a “boom,” Killer Croc was stunned by a close-range stun grenade.

Killer Frost retreated a few steps, looking at Killer Croc who had fallen again, cursing under her breath. “Batman is already dead, you idiot!”

The fleeting bat-shadow missed Killer Frost. She-he leaped away again, disappearing into the darkness.

“Coward! Come out!” Killer Frost shouted loudly. After a few shouts, she found it boring and continued walking towards the warehouse’s storage area.

This place was less a storage area and more like a junk area. There were tall shelves with objects neatly arranged by number. Killer Frost counted the numbers, searching for her target.

A dart flew towards Killer Frost’s head.

“Clang—” In the dark warehouse, a silver blade light suddenly shone, and the dart was easily cut in half by a long-handled katana. The fragments split into two, one of which was tightly gripped by a large hand.

A man materialized in the darkness.

He was wearing a black and gray protective suit, a half-black helmet on his head, two katanas mounted on his back, and many other hidden weapons on his body.

Deathstroke, a classic villain from DC Comics.

His real name is Slade Wilson. He was a very skilled soldier who later underwent a super-soldier experiment, gaining extremely powerful physical abilities and healing capabilities. He is a legend in the mercenary world, rumored to be able to complete any mission.

Except for missions related to the Justice League and the Teen Titans.

Also, he has a relative named Wade Wilson.

“I thought you’d stay hidden forever!” Killer Frost said, hugging her arms, in a provocative tone.

“Because I’m already exposed, idiot!” Deathstroke’s low voice came from beneath his mask, which was half black and half yellow. Because he was blind in one eye, he used the black half to cover his blind eye.

“Isn’t that just because your stealth skills aren’t up to par?” Killer Frost scoffed.

“If you dare speak to me like that again, I’ll kill you!” Deathstroke turned his head and said fiercely to Killer Frost, seemingly losing control due to anger.

The bat-shadow seized this opportunity, she-he descended from the sky again, attempting to subdue the two.

Deathstroke didn’t even turn his head, swinging his katana. A silver blade light flashed like lightning in the dark warehouse, while Killer Frost beside him quickly sprayed low-temperature freezing gas from her palms.

The bat-shadow forcibly changed shape in mid-air, like an agile cat, dodging Deathstroke’s fatal strike, but was directly hit by the strong freezing gas that followed.

The black shadow was sent flying by the freezing gas, crashing into the wall with a dull thud, then falling to the ground, motionless.

The two pretended to argue to attract the bat-shadow’s attack, then counterattacked.

“Do you think she-he’s dead?” Killer Frost extended a finger and lightly poked Deathstroke’s arm.

“I don’t think so!” Deathstroke reached for his waist, preparing to pull out a submachine gun and fire two bursts at the bat-shadow.

A blinding white light suddenly illuminated the room.

Killer Frost let out a scream, frantically retreating backward. She covered her eyes, which were stinging, and tears streamed down uncontrollably. It was a flashbang, and the accompanying infrasound shock effect made her feel dizzy, causing her to uncontrollably sit on the ground.

Deathstroke wasn’t much better. Being well-trained, he didn’t cover his eyes or retreat quickly, but endured the pain in his eyes and the ringing in his ears, trying to sense the enemy’s presence.

Left side!

Deathstroke swung his katana fiercely with his right hand. The bat-shadow agilely dodged his blade light, then she-he extended both hands, scratching Deathstroke’s arm like cat claws. The protective suit seemed to have no effect, being easily torn by the claws.

Deathstroke grunted, extended his left hand, and reached for the bat-shadow. The bat-shadow’s spine tingled, and she-he quickly lay down on the ground, dodging his grab. And Deathstroke, because of this grab, exposed an opening.

The bat-shadow quickly rolled, lay prone on the ground, then kicked Deathstroke’s right hand with her leg, kicking away his katana.

“Clang—” The katana fell to the ground, making a crisp sound. But Deathstroke reacted extremely quickly, aiming a submachine gun at the bat-shadow.

“Snap—” A sharp crack echoed in the air. Deathstroke only felt his left hand being severely whipped by a long whip. Intense pain shot through his brain. But instead of being surprised, Deathstroke was delighted. He grabbed the whip with his other hand, about to pull the enemy close.

The whip suddenly erupted with electricity.

Deathstroke felt his entire body’s muscles uncontrollably contract. The high-voltage current caused body paralysis and skin burns with tissue necrosis. Deathstroke collapsed weakly to the ground, a puff of smoke rising from him.

The bat-shadow slowly walked over to Deathstroke. The high-voltage electric whip specially prepared for enhanced humans was indeed enough to give him a hard time.

“You’re not Batman!” Deathstroke said weakly, lying on the ground.

“You’re not Deathstroke either!” The bat-shadow’s voice came through. She-his voice was clearly modified by a voice changer, a very deep, mechanical voice, impossible to distinguish between male and female.

But what she said was right, this person was indeed not Deathstroke. The bat-shadow was well aware of her own skill level. A being like Deathstroke, who stood at the pinnacle of human ability, could barely be defeated by anyone other than metahumans.

Even Batman only had a greater chance of winning, not a guaranteed victory.

“Tell me, who are you? What do you three want to do in Gotham City?” the bat-shadow asked fiercely, her-his low voice sounding so terrifying in the night, coupled with the occasional thunderous roars from outside the warehouse, making her-him seem like a demon from hell.

“Heh heh! What they want to do is very simple…” A strange, aged voice appeared in the room.

A figure, like a sharp blade, attacked the bat-shadow. She-he barely leaped aside, dodging the attack, but the assailant turned his long blade, easily leaving a wound on the bat-shadow’s abdomen.

“Just hold you off for a bit.” The figure revealed his true face.

He had an aged face, white hair, and wore a yellow and black protective suit. His right eye was covered by a black eye patch, and his muscles were very prominent.

The real Deathstroke, the real…

King of Mercenaries.

The bat-shadow was not to be outdone. She-he leaped from the ground and attacked Deathstroke, but Deathstroke slightly tilted his head, easily dodging her-his sharp claws, then extended a large hand, gripping her-his wrist, and then mercilessly kicked out, sending the bat-shadow flying.

“I’ve got the mission item, let’s go!” Deathstroke nodded, speaking to the temporarily blind Killer Frost and the dazed Killer Croc. The other Deathstroke, wearing a helmet, shouted indignantly, “Are we just leaving like this? Letting her-him live?”

The white-haired Slade Wilson glared fiercely at him with his remaining eye, squeezing out a few words through clenched teeth.

“I said, go!” A chilling killing intent emanated from his eyes. Whether it was the ruthless Killer Croc, the ice-controlling Killer Frost, or the young mercenary who inherited the name Deathstroke, they all felt a chill rising from the depths of their hearts.

They said nothing and followed him, disappearing into the night.

Deep within the warehouse, a hand reached out from a pile of debris. She-he coughed violently a few times, then pressed a few buttons on her forearm.

Then, pushing aside the debris, she-he struggled to stand up and staggered out of the warehouse.

Accompanied by a buzzing sound, a dazzling light appeared in the high-altitude clouds. A bat-shaped aircraft slowly descended. The bat-shadow used a grappling gun to hook onto the aircraft, then the gun’s power system activated, pulling her-him onto the plane.

“Take me to the Batcave, Oracle,” the bat-shadow said. After entering the aircraft, she-he leaned against the wall, enduring the internal pain, and spoke to the person on the other end of the communicator.

“But you need treatment now!” Oracle said with dissatisfaction.

“Batcave! Now!” She-he emphasized again. Oracle could only sigh helplessly, “Alright, alright, this is your request! I just hope you don’t kill yourself!”

The Batplane silently traversed the clouds. The aircraft had undergone special lightning protection treatment and would not be struck by lightning.

Soon after, the Batplane passed through a hidden waterfall and entered a huge underground cavern.

This was a massive cave. When the plane entered, countless bats hanging from the ceiling began to fly wildly, adding to the already eerie atmosphere of the cave.

The Batplane landed on the prepared helipad inside, and the bat-shadow exited the hatch.

This was the Batcave.

This was Batman’s base.

The base was originally just an ordinary underground cavern, but after Batman discovered it, he made extensive modifications. Many high-tech instruments were moved inside. Numerous metal platforms were built here to park various vehicles, such as many different models of Batmobiles.

And the most eye-catching were the peculiar giant decorations: a huge dinosaur, a giant penny, a Joker card, and so on.

In addition, there were several glass cases containing old Bat-suits and the costumes of past Robins.

The bat-shadow walked to the changing area. Under the light, it was easy to see that she was a very sexy woman. She took off her cowl and unfastened her cape.

She changed into casual clothes, her shoulder-length black hair gently swaying. Her eyes looked at a tattered Bat-suit in the corner, and tears uncontrollably flowed.

Wayne Manor, young Helena Wayne woke up from a dream. She saw a bat crash into the glass, its terrifying wing-limbs flapping. She screamed uncontrollably, and accompanied by the thunderous roar, she began to cry.

“It’s okay, Mommy’s here, Mommy’s here…” a woman hugged her, comforting her softly.

Young Helena desperately burrowed into her mother’s embrace, as if it were the safest place in the world.

“There’s a bat here, Mommy! I’m scared!”

The beautiful mother quietly wiped away tears from the corners of her eyes, gently patting her daughter’s body.

“Don’t be afraid of bats, dear.”

“He will be your guardian in the darkness…”

Selina Kyle Wayne

Batwoman.

Selina Kyle, Catwoman, has different experiences in different versions, but without exception, she and Batman have an emotional entanglement.

In Earth- 2, Batman and Catwoman married and had a daughter named Helena Wayne.

This last image is one that excited all fans of the Batman comics. Batman proposed to Catwoman, but with the release of issue 50, fans found it was a complete joke. It was another example of the writers teasing fans. Catwoman was persuaded and brainwashed by her best friend into thinking she couldn’t affect Batman, so she actually ran away from the wedding. What’s even more ridiculous is that it was later discovered her best friend was acting on Bane’s orders, and even more terrifying, Flashpoint Batman was behind Bane!!!!! Writers, go to hell!
