Chapter 250: Stand Users and Lupin

They saw a child dressed in “rags,” dirty and barefoot.

Looking at him, it was either the backward Middle Ages or a very poor refugee area.

The child had wavy, curly red hair, green eyes, and rosy skin… this must be young Godric Gryffindor.

But he looked only about ten years old. Definitely not yet twelve!

At this moment, a deep, slightly teasing male voice-over appeared:

“I was just ten years old then. My family was very poor; my parents were farmers, and there were six children in the family, so they didn’t have time to look after me. That time, I forgot my mother’s instructions and ran into the ‘cursed forest’ to play, where I encountered two Red Caps… that was the beginning of my magical journey.”

Hermione suddenly looked at Ted. The voice-over revealed a piece of information—Gryffindor was a Muggle-born wizard!

A wizard from a Muggle family?!

However, Ted quickly thought that it was normal.

After all, according to Slytherin’s research and conclusions, magic originated from the soul and eventually affected the bloodline.

Therefore, the first generation of Muggle-born wizards was often exceptionally outstanding, considered the progenitor of their bloodline.

Perhaps this research conclusion was derived from his good friend.

Before Ted could think further, his friends noticed something was wrong. In the bushes not far away, there was something!

It was two Red Caps, one old and one young (their hats weren’t completely red yet, meaning they hadn’t killed many creatures), staring maliciously at the unsuspecting Gryffindor!

Neville finally couldn’t stand it anymore and shouted, “Watch out! There are Red Caps, run!”

They couldn’t imagine how a ten-year-old child could escape from two vicious Red Caps.

However, young Gryffindor acted as if he hadn’t heard anything, continuing his game.

Clearly, as spectators, they could only watch and not participate, unable to influence the “protagonist.”

You have to play the role of a good audience~

The two Red Caps quietly hid in the shadows, slowly approaching. Their withered hands with long, black fingernails already clutched weapons like large, sharp awls!

Neville even cast a Stupefy, but the spell passed through the bushes, through the Red Caps, and vanished. It couldn’t affect anything at all.

He was so anxious that sweat beaded on his nose, completely forgetting that this was just “watching a show.”

If young Gryffindor had died at the hands of the Red Caps, none of the later events would have happened!

Sure enough, young Gryffindor seemed to suddenly jolt, just as the Red Caps were about to ambush him, and he abruptly discovered the two monsters!

Then the chase began.

Ted and the other seven, as spectators, watched how young Gryffindor, pursued by the Red Caps, was injured and bled, then his magic erupted, and he counter-killed the two Red Caps.

This was a protagonist’s template!

“Exciting! So exciting! Let me go! I’ll go first!” As soon as she emerged from the book, Hally clamored to be the first to “enjoy” the protagonist treatment.

None of her friends argued with her, mainly because they were afraid of Gryffindor the Boxing King using her fists to reason.

Soon, Hally fought two Red Caps.

Young Gryffindor, after all, hadn’t become a wizard yet and didn’t have a wand. He only managed to turn the tide through a burst of magic in a life-or-death situation.

But the famous Gryffindor the Boxing King was already a thirteen-year-old third-year wizard, mastering as many as thirty or forty spells.

Putting everything else aside, her iron fists alone were quite formidable in combat!

In the book adventure, she delivered a horse-stance punch that knocked the young Red Cap to the ground, even knocking off its hat.

It took her less than three minutes to deal with the two Red Caps.

“Awesome~” Hally cheered after successfully clearing the level.

“Did you see that? Did you all see that? This feeling of punching flesh is great!” Hally was incredibly excited, as if she had found a human punching bag.

“Let me go! Let me go!” George volunteered.

He was already in his fifth year, and usually a top student. Both his magic and spells were stronger than Hally’s, though his fists weren’t as good.

He dealt with the two Red Caps in less than two minutes, even toying with them.

Then it was Fred, who also finished very easily, in less than a minute.

Because he used the twins’ unique secret technique—Stand User!

After they came out of the book, their younger brother Ron immediately asked, “You two, what kind of magic was that?”

They exchanged a smile, then looked at Ted: “That’s a long story!”

Ron: “Then make it short.”

“It all started with Ted telling us about ‘Jojo’s Magical Adventure’…”

During the holidays, when Ron and Neville were buying wands, the twins sought out Ted for a private chat, saying they had developed “Stand Users,” which startled Ted.

However, they weren’t lying!

They had developed a new magic, whose effect was similar to the Stand Users in the “Magically Modified Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” that Ted had told them about.

It’s worth noting that at school, they were quite obsessed with the story and even created a set of “Weasley Gentlemen’s Sayings.”

They even cosplayed characters from it during Halloween!

And the core of this magic evolved from the “Invisible Servant” that Ted had taught them.

Ted hadn’t paid much attention to this magic, usually treating it as free labor for moving experimental equipment and such.

But the twins clearly put their hearts into it, and they were like a rich person riding in a convertible—their minds were wide open!

They integrated the spells they had mastered, even incorporating contract magic, making certain sacrifices to bring this magic into being.

Their spell and magic levels all dropped by – 1!

And their levels in subjects like Magical Creatures and Herbology dropped by – 2!

The Invisible Servant spell also disappeared, transforming into this “Stand User”!

This kind of sacrifice was somewhat akin to Lockhart specializing in memory charms.

But they indeed gained something.

This Stand User was not only an enhanced version of the Invisible Servant, but it would also develop different abilities based on the number of “sacrificed” skill levels and their own unique characteristics.

For example, George’s Stand User could split into seven smaller Stand Users for multi-line combat.

And Fred’s Stand User could absorb magic to become larger and stronger.

The friends were all very interested and expressed that they wanted to learn it, especially this one!

However, this was not simple; it came with a price. They had to consider it carefully.

Ron thought about it and gave up, because he didn’t seem to have that many sacrifices to make!

Ron: Ah~~~~~

Actually, the current Stand User still requires a wand to activate and has a short duration. They will continue to develop and perfect it in the future.

Although this might also cut off some of the twins’ other magical paths, much like Lockhart, who was incredibly proficient in the Memory Charm but whose other spells had regressed to student level.

However, it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, as many wizards only truly master a few spells anyway.

In addition, the twins had also developed and perfected magical items like their U-No-Poo, Shield Charms, and mischief fireworks.

They even listed some for sale on the Salty Fish Home during the holidays, but sales were quite ordinary.

But that wasn’t to say the products were bad; rather, the consumer base was different, with adult wizards making up a large proportion of Salty Fish Home’s users.

So Ted suggested that after school started, they should try selling to students first, and based on immediate feedback, modify their products and sales strategies.

And by the time they graduated, they could partner to open a joke shop.

They were already in their fifth year, so graduation was only two years away.

They had entered the rapid development period for wizards.

Basically, the progress made during these four years, from third to seventh grade, determined a wizard’s future achievements.

Speaking of which, during the holidays, Ted secretly helped Mr. Weasley modify their flying car!

Mainly, he magicalized the engine, optimized the magic circuits, and added some alchemical arrays.

Because their finances weren’t very generous, their Ford car ultimately didn’t retire~

Afterward, it was supposed to be everyone’s turn to experience it one by one, but Hally thought it was too slow and suggested, “How about we go together!”

Everyone considered it and wanted to try. What would happen if they weren’t spectators but eight protagonists?

Unexpectedly, when all eight entered the adventure together, sixteen Red Caps attacked simultaneously.

And Ted, wanting to teach them a lesson, deliberately slacked off.

The battle was a scramble, a desperate struggle!

“Have you heard? They found a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor!” a student whispered in the corridor.

“Really?! When did that happen?”

“This morning, the second-years had their first Defense Against the Dark Arts class. They say the new professor is amazing!”

It seemed that the unlucky Professor Quentin Trimble had, after all, only had a one-day trip to Hogwarts.

No, he hadn’t even made it to Hogwarts; something had happened to him on the way.

“What’s the new professor’s name?”

“It sounds like Lupin, Remus Lupin.”

Ted, who hadn’t paid much attention to which unlucky soul was filling the position, suddenly stopped.

Lupin?! He actually came?

Was this the inertia of fate?

Lupin, whose life wasn’t too bad, still came to take on this unfortunate position.

Ted thought for a moment, then went alone to the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor’s office to see Lupin.
