## Chapter 205: Subhuman Adventuring Party

“Wizard?!” The cat girl looked at Ted on the wooden wall in surprise.

Ted waved his hand, “Fighting for the cat, my lady!”

Just as Ted’s mud pit had trapped a roasted whole pig, the large horned man with a big hammer next to him was in danger again—a noticeably larger female roasted whole pig, now fuming with rage, her entire body red as if cooked, the air around her scorching, already pawing the ground and charging towards the horned man!

Although the man was exceptionally strong and tall, with his huge wooden hammer whistling through the air, he was dwarfed by this enormous roasted pig matriarch, which resembled a small locomotive!

If she were to collide with him, it would be like being hit by a small truck going eighty miles an hour.

Whether he’d die was uncertain, but losing half his life was a certainty.

However, the roasted pig, seemingly clumsy and enraged, surprisingly understood cooperation.

As the sow charged, the other two attacked from the left and right. Although they were hammered by the horned man until their heads bled, his attention was drawn, and he no longer had time to dodge the fiery giant pig that was only two or three meters away!

He was truly decisive; with a grit of his teeth, he raised his wooden hammer high, intending to go head-to-head with the opponent, trading blows!

Just then, Ted uttered a spell so brief it was barely audible. A tall mound of earth suddenly rose between the horned man and the sow leader!

The ground earth rose neatly like a two-meter-square mahjong tile, blocking both of them.

The roasted pig matriarch plunged headfirst into it, her head and the front half of her body embedded. The horned man also slammed his hammer into the giant earth block, creating a dent.

The horned man was startled but knew it was a rare opportunity. He quickly retreated, not daring to give the sow another chance.

However, the sow had no chance either, because Ted had used the [Mud Golem (Green)] card.

The two-meter-square giant earth block suddenly flowed and transformed like a liquid, turning in the blink of an eye into a sturdy mud man over two meters tall and about two meters wide, thick and broad.

The mud golem’s lower body was a surging mass of mud connected to the earth, giving it a very stable base. Its upper body had two long arms, thicker than a tall man’s waist, directly embracing the sow leader’s neck and front limbs—if her neck wasn’t so short, it would have been a direct guillotine, taking her down!

Even without a guillotine, the sow’s head was now buried in the mud golem’s body, her upper body firmly held down in a very undignified posture. Her two hind legs dug frantically at the ground but she couldn’t break free!

The other two smaller male roasted pigs saw this situation and instantly felt their fur turn green. They squealed repeatedly and charged to rescue their mate and leader.

But the horned man had combat experience. He directly held his big hammer horizontally, using a “Whirlwind Hammer Technique” to firmly block the two roasted pigs.

Before, dealing with three was a struggle for him. Now that the strongest one was controlled, it was a dream for the remaining two to try and get past him!

Ted’s casual move instantly turned the tide of the battle.

At this time, older subhumans from the village also rushed out, armed with swords, spears, halberds, axes, and hooks. In groups of two or three, they skillfully surrounded the roasted pigs.

Although their combat power probably couldn’t effectively harm these giant pigs.

But the few giant pigs, already at a disadvantage and having lost their initial unstoppable momentum, lost heart. Seeing the crowd of people shouting around them, they panicked.

It was starting to feel a bit like a hunt.

Soon, Ted’s series of multiple ice arrows shot and killed the roasted pig that had initially broken through the wall and had been cooled down by his ice spell.

Its fiery red fur had now released all its heat and returned to a pinkish color, with over a dozen fist-sized holes on its body, blood frozen at the wounds…

As this second roasted pig was entangled by ropes and Ted used a “Shattering” spell to open its skull, the remaining two boars still wrestling with the horned man, already bruised all over from the hammer blows, instantly realized their predicament. They abandoned their struggling mate and fled in different directions, moving extremely fast…

Husband and wife are like birds of the same forest, but when disaster strikes, they fly their separate ways!

Ted looked at the wild boars that had rushed dozens of meters away in a few seconds and gave up on chasing them.

Although 430 experience points for one was really tempting, it was more important to guard the village.

With the two boars gone, the horned man breathed a sigh of relief. He planted his big hammer on the ground, panting heavily, sweat starting to pour from his forehead, becoming drenched in seconds.

Ted jumped down from the two-to-three-meter-high wooden wall, landing lightly. He quickly walked over to the mud golem, which was still forcibly restraining the sow leader!

Ted extended his wand to the sow’s ear, feeling the heat emanating from her body, which was so intense that even the mud golem was steaming. If this went on for another minute or two, the water in the mud would be completely baked dry.

Ted directly unleashed an intensified Ice Ray, aimed straight at the sow’s ear canal, which was thicker than a thumb!

Attack the vitals!

Indeed, directly damaging the brain worked wonders!

The sow struggled violently, her hindquarters almost kicking skyward, then she collapsed, twitching, and became still.

Her brain had been destroyed by Ted in an instant!

“Ding~ Task [Defend Dicamond (Green)] completed. Reward: 300 experience points, 100 Dicamond Reputation, Card [Boar Charge (Green)].”

Ted subtly moved his fingers, and an invisible Mage Hand remotely collected the two dropped cards into his hand.

All the villagers looked at Ted with a hint of awe.

Although they knew wizards were powerful and magic was wondrous, they had never had such a direct experience until today!

The cat girl and the horned man, as combatants, had some understanding of the average wizard’s skill level and knew that this magic far exceeded what was normal for a wizard.

Upon learning that Ted was actually Jerry’s classmate, they were even more surprised—Hogwarts students were so powerful?!

Ted now became an honored guest in the village, surrounded and escorted back. Adults and children alike gathered to watch.

It was like slaughtering pigs for a grand New Year celebration!

This “monster siege” brought Ted three cards:

[Flame Enhancement (Green)]

Material Card

Grants flame enhancement to a magical creature or item.

Note: Conflicting attributes may lead to failed enhancement or even significant damage.

[Combustion (Green)]

Spell Card

[Boar Charge (Green)]

Spell Card

Usage: Performs a wild, unstoppable boar charge!

Around dusk, as the sun was about to touch the western mountains, the villagers who had gone out to scout gradually returned.

As mentioned before, they had gone into the nearby forests to investigate the situation under the guidance of wizards from the Ministry of Magic’s Subhuman Affairs Office.

Upon returning home and learning that their village had almost been ambushed, they were all filled with lingering fear.

“Damn it! Those Ministry of Magic wizards just told us to find things ourselves. We searched and searched and found nothing, and the monsters almost destroyed the village. Never again, we’re never going again!”

Many young adult subhumans were indignant, while the two twenty-something wizards looked embarrassed and sheepish.

These two were practically sent to be scapegoats; unable to solve problems, they could only bicker. The older members of the department wouldn’t bother with such thankless tasks.

Jerry and his group returned soon after.

Ted had already seen them through Ansu’s perspective.

The members of this team included: Jerry, Goof of the Horned race, Yechah of the Dog-eared race (who was one year below Ted’s class), Caitlyn of the Cat-eared race, and another exceptionally robust Rat-eared youth who was almost as bulky as Goof of the Horned race—he looked quite similar to Jerry.

Ted had heard Jerry mention a cousin; could this be him?

There were also two other Rat-eared youths, a girl about Jerry’s age, and a boy—no, a male child—who was only seven or eight years old.

“Ted, you’re here?!” Jerry was very happy to see Ted and quickly ran over.

“Thank you for saving the village. If you hadn’t come, I can’t imagine what would have happened.” Jerry saw the three giant pigs being butchered and cut up in the village.

Even if all the village’s combat power had been present, it would be hard to say what losses they would have incurred.

It was all thanks to Ted being there.

Ted waved his hand, “It was a timely encounter, perhaps Merlin’s guidance.”

Jerry immediately laughed, “Merlin’s flowery pants, thank his old man for the guidance!”

Well, although Hogwarts students often mentioned Merlin, they weren’t particularly reverent.

Jerry introduced his companions to Ted.

Goof was already familiar, as the six-person group was quite close to him because of Neville.

Yechah of the Dog-eared race and Caitlyn of the Cat-eared race, who were starting their second year, were both Gryffindor students, though Ted hadn’t paid much attention to them.

However, Jerry was in the same house as them and from the same village, so they were also very familiar.

Of the remaining three Rat-eared people, the robust one, almost like a Skaven Rat Ogre, was indeed Jerry’s older cousin, Mathol.

It was said that after coming to this world, for some unknown reason, he, a Rat-eared person known for being slender, had grown stronger than an average Horned person and possessed immense strength!

The other two were Shirley, a Rat-eared girl the same age as Jerry and his childhood sweetheart.

The other seven- or eight-year-old small Rat-eared boy was Jerry’s grand-nephew, Taffy.

After they greeted each other, Ted took Jerry and his companions to talk with the two young staff members from the Subhuman Affairs Office:

“Hello, I’m Ted Epiphany, a Hogwarts student. My raven followed the two escaped giant pigs and found that they fled southwest. I think you should quickly notify the Ministry of Magic’s Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. If they run into Muggle areas, there will be more trouble.”

The two immediately scrambled to contact their superiors.

Ted quietly told Jerry, “I had Ansu follow those two pigs. It seems to have been an accident; I didn’t see anyone behind it.”

Jerry nodded, “That’s good. There’s been too much bad news lately.”
