Chapter 115: A Little Test

Level 2 Goblins, Level 3 Merpeople/Goblin Captains, Level 4 Merpeople Chieftains, Level 12 Hobgoblins…

There were about twenty to thirty of them!

After all, the money belonged to Gringotts, but his life was his own!

The Hobgoblin’s club swung through the air, smashing onto the white marble steps, cracking the stone.

How did the goblin disappear so suddenly? Did he smash it away with one blow?

“Arthur, be careful! Quickly, children, stick close to me and leave here first.” Molly looked anxious, wanting to take the children away first. She was worried about the children being harmed and also about Arthur’s safety.

“No! We’re not leaving, we can help Dad, we can fight!” George shouted.

Fred drew his wand: “We can help!”

“Don’t cause trouble, hurry up and go!” Molly was flustered.

“It’s not causing trouble. We can help! Last year, Ron and the others even took down a troll at school!”

“What? A troll?!” Molly’s voice immediately shot up by 8 K, stinging everyone’s ears.

Ron felt his vision go black: You betrayed me!

Ted had no time to watch the show. Ahead, including Mr. Weasley, five adult wizards were retreating.

Although their spells were well-cast, the combat magic they used consisted only of minor jinxes, such as tripping jinxes, leg-locking jinxes, fanged jinxes, tickling jinxes… This was too ridiculous, wasn’t it? Was it a game of make-believe?

“Freezing Ray!” Ted flicked his wand, and immediately three blue magical energy curves shot out from the wand tip, directly connecting to the two Merpeople in front.

A chilling frost instantly began to invade them, slowing their movements, and even making their expressions painful. Though it was hard to distinguish a Merperson’s expression.

Because Merpeople were especially intolerant of cold damage.

Actually, the damage from Freezing Ray wasn’t high; it was difficult to cause severe injury even to humans, but its chilling and stiffening slowing effect was good. Rapid hypothermia would numb the target’s limbs and make them uncontrollable.

Ted had further developed the use of this magic, able to shoot out several Freezing Rays at once, making it a group slow.

“Don’t go head-to-head with them, retreat! Retreat while fighting!” Ted shouted, and his companions also took action.

With so many spells, three were immediately knocked down, leaving only one larger, higher-level Merperson leader.

By then, the Hobgoblin was not far away. It was enormous, and the ground trembled as it charged like an out-of-control dump truck, creating a huge commotion.

“Quick! Hurry!” Even Mr. Weasley’s face changed dramatically.

He hadn’t experienced many brutal battles, let alone fighting such a massive monster.

Ted shouted, “Use the Trip Jinx!”

“Trip Jinx!” x 6.

Ted and his companions, with great默契, simultaneously cast six spells from both sides, all hitting the ground directly in front of the Hobgoblin. The companions trusted Ted implicitly.

The Hobgoblin on the ground frantically struggled, clutching its groin, sweeping away everything it could reach. But true to its tough hide, the Hobgoblin slowly got back up after five or six seconds, trembling.

“Stupefy!” Mr. Weasley flicked his wand, and a red spell flew out, hitting the Hobgoblin.

Directly on its head!

However, the Hobgoblin merely staggered, shook its head, then roared and tried to charge again!

But it was still on the “slippery path” created by Ted and the others. With a mighty kick, it slipped again and fell flat on its face.

Other wizards also seized the opportunity to cast three or four spells at the Hobgoblin’s back, but to no avail.

Shattering only managed to cut off a few clumps of black stiff hair, and the Knockback Jinx and Stunning Spell had no effect when they hit.

One wizard was very clever. He used “Accio” to make a roadside stall fly up, then slammed it hard onto the Hobgoblin.

But the Hobgoblin’s skin was as tough as stone, and the wooden stall shattered into pieces, its fruits scattered everywhere. Yet, the Hobgoblin seemed to have been hit by a marshmallow, completely unfazed.

Having been thrown down again, the Hobgoblin dared not charge anymore. It still roared, then cautiously walked step by step. It was a step and a slip!
