Chapter 100: Annual Summary

Harley, seeing the strangely shaped houses, exclaimed excitedly, “I heard that when we reach third year, we’ll be allowed to visit Hogsmeade on weekends! I’ve never been there before!”

Then she began to explain common knowledge about Hogsmeade to Hermione, mentioning old shops that had been passed down for centuries.

After passing through the village, they walked a long way, essentially circling half of the Black Lake, before finally seeing the railway. Soon, the train station was in sight.

The red and black Hogwarts Express was already waiting there.

Just like when they arrived, the six of them squeezed into one compartment.

Ron patted his chest, where his report card was stored: “I need to ask Mum for a flying broom. I want to join Quidditch and lead Gryffindor to victory over Slytherin!”

His report card was his confidence!

Neville also smiled; his grades had exceeded expectations too. However, he didn’t have anything he particularly wanted, nor did he even know what he wanted to do.

He asked Ted, “Ted, do you have any plans for the holidays?”

Ted stroked his chin: “No plans, really. I might go back to the orphanage for a bit. The rest of the time I’ll probably be in Diagon Alley and the Leaky Cauldron. I should continue working in Diagon Alley.”

Jerry whispered, “Ted, can I work with you in Diagon Alley?”

Jerry’s family situation wasn’t much better than Ted’s.

Although he was now a wizard and could help his family gain status, it didn’t do much for their economic situation.

So, he also wanted to find a job in Diagon Alley.

“Of course, Diagon Alley needs a lot of hourly workers during the holidays,” Ted said.

Hermione looked at Ted but didn’t say anything. She actually wanted to invite Ted to her house as a guest.

The train traveled south, rattling along, and soon it was noon.

Everyone took out the food they had prepared and ate, quickly becoming sleepy.

Ted also closed his eyes to rest, using this time to summarize his changes and gains from the year.

First, the character panel:

Ted Epiphany

Strength 5 (+ 1 Hand-rope)

Constitution 5 (+ 2 Philosopher’s Stone)

Agility 4

Intelligence 8

Perception 7 (+ 1 Wand)

Spirit 12 (+ 2 Philosopher’s Stone)

Charm 7

Luck ??

Talents: [Otherworldly Knowledge (Gold)], [Academic Genius (Purple)]

Now, except for Agility, which was still less convenient than an adult’s due to his small limbs, all other attributes had surpassed those of average people.

Including equipment bonuses, Strength 6, Constitution 7, which was much stronger than ordinary people. Perception 8 was even far beyond ordinary people.

Spirit 14 was stronger than most adult wizards; perhaps only powerful wizards with rich experience and firm willpower could reach it.

At least when Ted last appraised Professor Quirrell, he only had Spirit 9 (- 3 possession).

As for Professors Flitwick and McGonagall, they were around 14 or 15.

Snape probably had over 18!

Skills:

Magic Power Lv 5 (+ 1 Wand + 2 Philosopher’s Stone)

Magic Resistance Lv 1

Charms Lv 3 (+ 1 Wand)

Psionics Lv 3

Mental Resistance Lv 3

Divination Lv 1

Transfiguration Lv 2

Potions Lv 2 (+ 1 Alchemist’s Gloves)

Herbology Lv 1

Ancient Runes Lv 1

Dark Arts Lv 5

Care of Magical Creatures Lv 4

Bloodline Modification Lv 2

Alchemy Lv 1 (+ 1 Philosopher’s Stone).

The most prominent was naturally Magic Power.

No bragging, Ted dared to say that his level of magic power was unmatched even by excellent wizards.

This was something he had compared from dozens of students of different ages and backgrounds.

Among the students he had met, the highest Ted had seen was a 6th-year Slytherin, rumored to be the most outstanding member of the twenty-eight pure-blood Shafiq family in fifty years, and like himself, had Magic Power Lv 5!

Besides that, there were many with Magic Power Lv 4, such as Ted’s half-acquaintance, Ron’s sister, Percy Weasley.

She was a descendant of the Weasley and Prewett families and a prefect at Hogwarts.

Actually, although the Weasley family seemed to be in a poor financial state, the main reason was that they had a large family, and only Mr. Weasley had an income.

That was because the Weasley couple had actually eloped back then, and their families didn’t provide financial support. In fact, both families were quite wealthy.

However, although these few family members seemed poor, they actually had much more potential than the Malfoy family.

In the wizarding world, indeed, there is strength in numbers.

Now, the eldest Weasley son, Bill, was working as a Curse-Breaker at Gringotts in Egypt, a position that only wizards with very high Charms levels could hold.

The second son, Charlie, was raising dragons in Romania; Hagrid’s Norbert was given to him.

The third, Percy, had excellent social skills, extremely high talent, and academic results that no one in the school could match.

By the way, in the original work, both Bill and Percy received twelve certificates in their fifth-year O.W.L.s (Ordinary Wizarding Level exams)!

This required taking all classes with a Time-Turner, and because constantly switching time was very draining, Hermione ultimately couldn’t do it.

And the twins were another type of genius, owning their own business after graduation.

In the original work, the youngest son Ron was the best friend of the Boy Who Lived, and the youngest daughter was the Boy Who Lived’s wife.

Just say it, how promising would this family be in the future!

Now look at the Malfoy family; father and son Death Eaters, they would definitely have to bleed to cleanse their sins.

There’s only one heir in the family; who knows when the line might end~

Can’t compare, can’t compare~

Repeat after me: Sticking with Voldemort leads to a dead end!

Back to the main topic, looking at the skills, one can see Ted’s enormous gains this year.

High-level magic power and intelligence attributes also made his magical learning exceptionally easy.

However, progress in psionics seemed less significant.

Mainly, he didn’t have time to research it, nor did he level it up much. But the experience points were already ready.

And the unexpected gains were “Dark Arts” and “Care of Magical Creatures.”

Thanks to Voldemort’s generosity, Ted’s Dark Arts level directly jumped from Lv 2 to Lv 5.

It even made Ted hesitant to recall those Dark Arts knowledge in detail.

This part should be researched later; it’s too early for now.

One must have reverence for magic.

Alchemy was also an unexpected gain; he hadn’t even touched anything related to alchemy, yet he inexplicably gained quite a bit of common sense and knowledge about it.

As for magic, there’s even less to mention.

Ted had mastered nearly twenty conventional spells this year!

He had also “developed” about ten spells based on his otherworldly knowledge.

And even with all that, there were still many spells he hadn’t had time to research.

Not to mention the magic from Azeroth and the D&D world, just from otherworldly knowledge, he still had areas like “Alchemical Potions,” “Mind Steal,” “Puppetry,” “Spiritual Ashes,” and “Magical Recipes” waiting to be explored!

There simply wasn’t enough time!

And then there’s the knowledge learned at school.

You have to learn Transfiguration, right? And Potions!

This year, Snape taught five formulas: Pimple-Reducing Potion, Bruise Paste, Burn Healing Paste, Dittany Essence, Forgetfulness Potion.

He also additionally brewed: Minor Healing Potion, Minor Mana Potion, Fire Protection Potion.

Good heavens, the more he lived, the more tired he became!
