“Ugh! I still have to learn spells!” Ron complained.

When would these days of learning spells end, even if they found something fun?

Couldn’t there be a time when he could just eat chicken legs and play Wizard’s Chess all day, living comfortably?

George and Fred, upon hearing such an unbearable remark from their younger brother, immediately clamped his neck between their arms, one on each side. It was as if they were ready to deliver a Clothesline and chop off his head if he said another word!

George: “Oh, my foolish brother~ How could you say such a thing?!”

Fred: “Little Ronnie, you’re a wizard! If you don’t even learn spells, what kind of wizard are you going to be?!”

“Little Ronnie?!” Harry immediately burst into laughter.

Ron’s face turned crimson: “Don’t call me that name!”

Little Ronnie was his pet name~

Although Ron always complained, now that his friends were all learning new spells to unlock the secret of this strange mirror, he couldn’t “desert the organization” either!

Even Neville was diligently studying spells, so what reason did he have to play chess?

Besides, who would play with him anyway! He could only follow along and learn.

This was the principle of good company~

An old saying goes: Living with good people is like entering a room filled with orchids; after a long time, you no longer smell their fragrance~

Ted only took one night to initially learn this magic.

The next day at noon, the group quickly finished their lunch and headed towards the secluded corridor.

Ron still held a chicken leg in one hand, gnawing on it as he walked.

As a result, Malfoy, who had been observing them, also secretly followed. This guy was still up to no good.

However, around a corridor corner, as Malfoy followed, he saw eight people, including the Weasley twins, standing in a semicircle in front of him.

Malfoy immediately looked up at the ceiling: “Damn it! Where is this? I’m lost!” Then he turned and walked away, never looking at the group once.

If he had been holding a stick, others might have thought he was blind!

Ron stroked his chin: “It’s the first time I’ve found Malfoy to be quite clever!”

After scaring Malfoy away, everyone finally arrived in front of the mirror.

Ted took out his wand and pointed it at the mirror surface: “Aparecium!”

The “dust” on the mirror surface suddenly scattered and vanished, becoming clear and bright.

But the mirror didn’t reflect anyone; instead, a metal ornament hanging on a wall appeared.

It was a colorful moth made of wire, with a simple spell below it: Moth, fly!

“What does this mean?” Ron asked.

Jerry said, “Looking for something?”

Neville: “Is that a spell below?”

George scratched his red hair and said, “Fred, does this thing look familiar?”

“That’s right! We’ve seen it somewhere!” Fred slapped his thigh.

Ted carefully examined the moth until it disappeared from the mirror, then used “Aparecium” again, and the same image appeared.

“It looks like we need to find this thing. Judging by the style of that wall, it must be Hogwarts Castle. To the right, there should be a large potted plant, and to the left, a staircase…”

Before the second class in the afternoon, the twins found everyone: “We found it! We’ll talk about it at dinner!”

They had indeed found it, on the basement level of the main building’s right tower, a place not often visited. Even if someone passed by, they wouldn’t notice a palm-sized ornament on the wall next to the stairs.

“We tried, but it only moved a little,” George shrugged.

Ron heard this and also extended his wand: “Moth, fly!” The metal ornament on the wall only wiggled its antennae.

Harry and Hermione also tried separately; they did better than Ron, and the moth flapped its wings.

Under the watchful eyes of his friends, Ted extended his wand: “Moth, fly!”

The moth flapped its wings a few times, then actually flew off the wall and circled around Ted’s wand.

“Let’s go, take it back!” Ted held his wand, guiding the moth to follow him all the way to the mirror.

Sure enough, after getting close to the mirror, the moth left the wand, landed in the blank area below the mirror, and merged with the mirror.

Then the mirror surface suddenly flashed with a faint light, and an old piece of parchment appeared.

“Ding~ Solved a magic puzzle, gained 88 experience!”

Ha! Experience!

Ted carefully took the parchment. It had a lot of writing on it. He quickly scanned the contents and said, “This parchment was left by an older student many years ago. It records a spell he invented himself.”

“A spell!” Everyone was excited.

Only Ron looked hopeless: Dammit, what was all that effort for!

Ted continued: “It looks like a very interesting spell. It can use magic to turn paper into flying paper cranes, which then fly to deliver messages to the target. It’s a communication spell, worth studying!”

This adventure and puzzle-solving was truly delightful for everyone, except Ron.

The Gryffindors loved this kind of adventurous activity. And Hermione loved solving puzzles.

Not to mention they even got a new spell!

Although this paper crane messaging spell could only send messages over relatively short distances, such as within Hogwarts or a village, and the recipient needed to be someone you were very familiar with, it was still a very interesting spell.

At least this spell referenced some of the tracking talents of the magical world’s messenger owls, making it very valuable for reference.

And once the friends learned this, communicating with each other would be much more convenient. No need for owls or Hedwig to fly back and forth.

Ted also discovered a new way to gain experience.

It’s just that these kinds of puzzles weren’t common; one could only say that finding one was a bonus.

Who knew how many precious treasures previous senior students had left behind in this thousand-year-old castle, and how many junior students had accidentally found them, gaining joy and knowledge.

This could also be considered a form of legacy!

After this incident, the friends’ adventurous spirits were unleashed. The common room, library, Great Hall, kitchens, corridors, classrooms… they roamed everywhere.

Especially Harry, who wore his Invisibility Cloak every night, wandering around and not returning to sleep until after 1 AM. After a few days, his eyes were dark.

Ted gave him an idea: go to the hospital wing and ask Madam Pomfrey for some Dreamless Sleep Potion, saying he had been suffering from insomnia lately.

This potion induces deep sleep; you sleep soundly and don’t dream.

Everyone searched with great enthusiasm, and surprisingly, they did find something.

One time, Jerry and Neville forgot their books and went back to get them. On their way back, they got lost again but unexpectedly discovered a door that couldn’t be opened.

If it was just a door that couldn’t be opened, that wouldn’t be much in the castle.

After all, some doors were merely decorative on the wall; they weren’t even real doors!

But this door was painted with strange numbers and patterns, and there was a circle of animal reliefs around it. This made one suspicious!

Counting the twins, the Hogwarts exploration squad reassembled. The twins used the Unlocking Charm, but Alohomora didn’t work.

This indicated that there was indeed something wrong with this door; it was magically sealed.

The twins were very concerned about this and even shared a secret.

“Ronnie is too young, so he doesn’t know, but we overheard Mum and Dad talking. When Bill was at school, he and his friends once opened a Cursed Vault here! They said it was a mysteriously appearing door!”

“We have to open this door! This is a great opportunity! I don’t want to graduate without any memorable experiences.”

However, the “Cursed Vault,” which had been highly anticipated, was opened by Ted in just two days.

Actually, the door had a riddle on it, and the reliefs around the door were the conditions. In the corridors surrounding that door, there were related reliefs that needed to be adjusted to match the riddle displayed on the door. Then, using the Unlocking Charm on the door would open it.

Inside was a wooden box, another item left by a former senior student.

This time, it contained two prank toys and a prank spell—the Leg-Locker Curse.

Ted gained 88 experience.

These prank toys were old products from over thirty years ago, practically collector’s items.

And learning a jinx was much more exciting than learning something like the Lumos charm. Especially when they thought about using it on Malfoy and the Slytherins.

Even Ron began to actively study it.

And in the area of dark magic, he actually had quite a talent, learning it an hour earlier than Harry!

That’s right, Ted used Appraisal on Ron and found that his dark magic was level 2!

This was innate!

Ted: Among the Gryffindors, a traitor has emerged!

Ted, Hermione, Harry, Neville, Ron, and Jerry had formed a close-knit group. They became the Hogwarts Six, also known as the Hogwarts Friends~

Actually, there was an advantage to exploring the castle: safety.

Ted was happy about this.

If he could use such activities to keep his friends’ energy occupied, it was a good thing.

Especially the Weasley twins, who would run off to the Forbidden Forest whenever they had nothing to do.

This year was different; this year, there was Professor Quirrell with the face on the back of his head! If they ran into him while he was catching unicorns, it would truly be a death sentence.

This year, it was better to let them cause mischief within the castle.

During this time, Ted also discovered something: the “Charm of Affection” constant on him not only worked on people but also on animals!

It was even more apparent with animals whose minds were not fully developed.

No wonder working at the Magical Menagerie was so smooth back then.

Ted encountered Mrs. Norris, Filch’s cat, several times. After feeding her some small treats, he could already pet her.

Yesterday, Filch caught them. He was so furious he almost jumped up and down, carrying Mrs. Norris away. But Mrs. Norris was still looking at Ted “affectionately” from his shoulder.

Petting Mrs. Norris in front of Filch, wasn’t this a form of cuckolding?!
